War of the Monsters PS2?(Sequel to King of the Monsters?)

I was in Target last night and noticed something strange in the PS2 department. There was a game I'd never seen called "War of the Monsters". I couldn't read the back because Target always keeps their games in a case and the employees aren't to willing to pull stuff out for you unless you're gonna buy it. Does anyone know if this game is a sequel to King of the Monsters? Could be interesting if that's true...

Trust me it's not.

It's just some lame PS2 game with monsters.

It is fun for maybe a minute.

I have the game and it is nothing like King of the Monsters.

War of the Monsters is kind of like Twisted Metal Black. You walk around, beat up on other monsters and you can destroy the buildings around you. You can also pick up parts of buildings, boats, cars, and TV antennas from tops of buildings.

It is fun if you have another person playing with you on a free-for-all. I would only pay about $20 for it.

Actually its a very good game. I picked it up and enjoy it a lot. In some ways it is the spiritual successor to KOTM, even if it wasn't done by the same crew. Clearly KOTM influenced this game, no question.

Anyway, I like the game and I think its worth picking up. I think about $30 is the max anyone should pay, less would be better. Right now it retails for $40, but it should come down in the near future.

i would give this game a 9/10, i love it and 2p it rocks... it is very deep with the different type of characters (speed, high energy recovery, high damage projectiles etc) and a game system that is deep with lots to be mastered...

i can play this game for hours 2p
