yeah mr. newbie here. just wanting to say hey. im hailing from the distant land of north carolina where people never even here of neo-geo let alone it's games. its nice to talk to people that are familar with all the fatal furys, the KOFs and such.

Uh, no. There has been a huge Neo Geo presence in the Durham/Raleigh area since 1994. We've got high skills across the Samurai and KOF series, and very few individuals at conventions across the east coast are capable of dealing with any player we send.

Now that that's out of the way, greetings. :)

I too am a newbie, I'm not too sure of the Neo scene here in Ohio though, seems pretty drab. I just bought a very small MVS machine and a buttload of games but they won't be here until next week! crying Oh well, that gives me time to build my mock arcade cab to put it in.

the last kof i play in the arcade was kof 2000. i played it in eastland mall's mindboggle. i haven't been their in months but they practically stripped snk from their place. frown

I noticed that the last time I was there, a year or 2 back. They're still the only place in the state that holds tournaments like <a href="http://www.shoryuken.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29950" target="_blank">this one</a>, but it's all MVC2/CVS2 anymore.
