A quote from Chris Mullins: "Considering the fact that there is perfect emulation of Neo Geo avaible for free, I see the Neo Geo dying in 12 to 24 months." He is on Shawn's blacklist up there with Dion and Chris, so he is probably hiding somewhere eating his words.

Who cares if he was wrong? Everyone has their own opinions on the scene, in many respects he was right.
The kid was genius (at time of interview) for a 17 year old!
Has he done something wrong? Lets face it emulation is in many respects the way forward for a Gamer who is not obsessed with Material Objects. While I dont bother emulating, I go the cheap way with MVS and even sometimes then I feel I am paying too much for a game. Yes I have a passion for Neo Geo, but I believe that passion to be lick a BUG, it comes hard and goes slowly. Then returns for revenge. Back to the point, Chris Mullins made many valid remarks!

I wasn't around at the time, but I gather that his downfall had a lot more to do with scamming than his feelings on emulation.

Edit: That having been said, I'll also mention that his Neo Geo FAQ is outstanding for its time and seriously helped me out with supergun info.

He was around on the weekend trolling up a bit in the warroom. Never met the kid, but scamming is a scummy thing to do.

LOL that was weird that he suddenly got active last night; I think it was a hack. I took screencaps of his profile, the one post he made (with his name signed on it and Shawn himself calling him Chris) and the burst of activity.

BTW! THAT FAQ HE WROTE WAS NOT ALL HIS! MANY PEOPLE CONTRIBUTED AND HE NEVER CREDITED ANYONE BUT HIMSELF! blow_top blow_top very_ang very_ang

Why would anybody want to know where he is? What a putz. The longer he is out of the scene the better IMO. (has unhappy visons of him 4 years ago...ugh) angry

Chris Mullins was a self important, wishy washy BUM! He aspired to be just like the leader of NGwhatever and succeeded even believing he had a friend in NGwhatever...He found out otherwise as they turned on him just as they did everyone else who they've come in contact with. This FAN SCENE is much better off without the likes of that dork!

I think I used to post on his website. If I remember correctly, he had a selling forum that was set up like ebay. I remember bidding on a World Heroes Perfect and when the bidding got over $80 I said, "That's too damn expensive!" I went to his site a few times after that as well. He ended up taking some people for a joy ride, including Shawn. He would also ban people from his website if you said anything bad about his heroes. He is a seriously deranged person.

His 'interview' (if you want to call it that) with
Kazuya was ridiculous. Never in my life have I
heard such a troll speak. Pointless and worthless.

Thank You,

Jorge

It sounds like you are talking about Neo-Alec. He had an e-bay like auction pit, m-board, and was known for throes of dementia. The best part about Mullins website was his "about-me" link. It was full of all this stuff about how good he was at spelling, rapping, and attracting older women. That shit was gold.
