well, they look pretty cool but I have never played one personally.

Is it more then punch, kick and jump with a super when you hit punch and jump that takes away your life when you hit someone with it?

thanks!

The first two were your standard beat em up. You can collect different weapons and morph into different things. Sengoku 3 is almost nothing like the first two, graphics are tons better and they added a combo system.

You can also attribute the diffence between the first two and 3 by how far apart they were in development.

The first two are more standard, old-fashion beat-em ups. While 3 integrates a more "final fight" style of damage and play.

sengoku1:
old skool
slightly unplayable
enemies hit you all the time and you cant touch em
but the snk feel to it is present
good stuff

sengoku2:
more of the same
and it's also playable!
a bit boring
good to play once every month
snk feel to it still present
tops anyway

sengoku 2001:
i love the female boss
the 5 main fighters are very nicely animated
too bad noise forgot how to create good sprites after this one
bit boring
final boss is a bitch
snk feel is nowhere to be found

that's my opinion anyway

you can ask people what they think about game x or about spandau ballet

but in the end

you gotta try out stuff and judge for yourself

judge and jury kinda thing

Sengoku 2 is awesome. Just start it up and marvel at the intro knowing it was made in 1993. Really incredible.

I didn't like Sengoku 1, and I like Sengoku 2001, but it's a guilty pleasure, as the game isn't the shizzle.

Sengoku 2 is the one to get. Sengoku 1 in my opinion just sucks, 3 is decent but to expensive for my tastes, but 2 warrants a purchase which I should get around to doing soon.

I'm a Spandau Ballet fan, and i like Sengoku more than Sengoku 2, but both are good games.

I have all three. Which is my favorite? Sengoku 1.

Why? Because it has solid gameplay and the trick to winning is to utilize the various forms in tandem with powerups. The game just remins me of the Neo's early days and it was the early games like Sengoku, Cyberlip and Magician Lord that made me fall in love with the Neo Geo in the first place.

I used to love them... to tell you the truth I really hate them now. With exception to the third game, it's the shit.

I don't think so, since ROTD doesn't have
the SNK feel anywhere to be found
and you love it to death. You should
be ok smirk eek_2 oh_no

For some reason I like the first one the best. The second one was cool but I didn't like how you had all your transformations from the outset. Also, in the first one you would warp to this strange ethereal(sp) plane and do battle from time to time. You would do the same thing in 2 but it was restricted to one screen. You would basically warp into the sky, kill the enemies directly around you and go back down. I didn't like that. Two was also too easy compared to one.
