Types of games missing in the Neo

Just a banal topic to spend some time....

Well the point is that some genre of games are present in all systems no matter what, included the Neo, like soccer games, basketball games, shot’em ups, beat’em ups etc.

However, maybe some are still missing in the neo and perhaps it would be interesting to have them present. Namely I think it would be interesting or curious to see a:

Tennis Game
RPG/Adventure game (in English)
Hockey Game
Sea and/or Sand Motorbikes Game
Strategy Game
Pinball Game

Any other ideas, comments......whatever

A Mario style platformer, I've not played Blues's Journey but I suppose thats the closest.

Also, the Neo is probably the only system since 1990 without a Star Trek game on it.

What we are missing is a good Outrun style racing game! I think the Neo could have done that nicely!

A good comic-related game would be nice. I know we have 8-man, but maybe some of the silver-age heroes....just a thought...

Definatly and also a tennis game is much needed! I don't even like real tennis but I'll always play a good tennis game on a console!

It may not be silver-age, but I always thought Hokuto no Ken would make for a perfect fighter on the Neo, even though Hokuto no Ken games on other systems tended to suck, with the exception of Mega Drive/Genesis.

And I agree whole-heartedly, an Outrun style racer would rule!

if you want squaresoft's rpgs you can always get yourself a snes or psx.... :rolleyes:

Yeah, I'd love to see a Neo Final Fanstasy on MVS with 37 sequels... oh_no That's arcade fun for sure... :rolleyes:

I've heard that AM2 is working on a Final Fantasy 8 port for the new Sega Model 4.
it will be released in arcades before xmas. i can't wait for it! lol lol

I think a Neo version of Advance wars could work,well it could be converted in too a credit muncher easy,i could see it on MVS,Advance wars is hardly a difficult game to pick up and control are simple.But maybe understanding how the game works may be a little difficult too pick up but i sure SNK could do it wink

A tennis game could of been good,Virtua Tennis in the Arcades was fab and the DC port kept me going for a while.

I don't know what the Neo's missing besides Sports games. Maybe a Power Stone style game that uses an isometric view instead of 3D.

Ahhh, you ppl missed the point. Lets evaluate. Take a action loaded rpg for instance, like Zelda or Soul Blazer but canned with Neo Geo's graphic power. Ofcourse it could be shorter than most of the rpg's but still have a long life with example alternitave items to find or characters to rescue or even alternitave endings or ways to get to the end. Big bosses to fight with. Ppl to talk with in towns to get some basic info. Shops to get items or potions. 3 lives for 1 credit. Think of a simpler, shorter but extremly beautiful 2D RPG. And ofcourse the NEO GEO AES is a home maschine and it would have been nice if SNK made a game with home market in mind. Hey, we are just dreaming and discussing what WOULD have been nice to neo. It imo would have worked.....ahhh....whatevva.. angry
