i own metal slug 3 on aes.is it worth selling and getting the ps2 version

I got it yesterday; its actually very good. The extra's definitely warrant a purchase, and in some ways DO make it better than the AES version.

In others, its not.

Such are the case with ports, so shut up and get over it.

The AES version looks nicer, and has a magic that no port can quite accomplish...so for super fans of the MS series, of course go with the AES.

Other people? Pick up the port if you don't own a neo.

I just got the port as well and i will tell you that it's really close to the arcade version.Pixelation is not as bad as some people made it out to be.It isn't even an issue to me.Everything looks fine on my TV with S-video.Load times are super fast and non-existent.I didn't experience any noticable or major slowdowns.Screw those reviewers who bitched about it.Explosion effects are arcade faithful and i didn't notice any frame cuts.The animation is intact.Really good port that is worth owning.It's addictive as well.Oh, and those sound effects are cool even though some of it has changed.Music is also good.

KOF 2000 on the PS2 is still the more smoother port but you can't go wrong with MS3 either.Minor pixelations on the characters aside.

dont be afraid to say it, MS3 port is pretty amazing. i am also one who is NEVER satisfied with ports it just isnt the same at all. however this is one port where im totally content with.

of course if you can afford the aes i suggest that but i would say that in any aes vs port situation. however im just saying for those who have to port for now this is the best port i ever seen not one single thing i could find to complain about etc..

US version is due November 18th and only $39.99 which i would gladly pay twice that for this (which i pretty much did).

Metal slug 4 was originally due out this coming winter as well but who knows, 3 is all i need now anyway.

so Too Short stay calm i definite suggest AES as first choice in any of these situations.

For now, Metal Slug 3 is only available in Japanese version for the PS2 version and you need to able to play japanese PS2 games on ya PS2.

well sure hope your arent callin me a ps2 "noob" i was always a guy against ps2 and pro nintendo but that has changed. i dont LOVE ps2 at all its ok though becuase it gets more of the mature games. however have you played metal slug 3 on ps2? no, probably not so dont be so ignorant, apparently you didnt read ANYTHING i said in my post comparing the two and which i would suggest buying if you can.

i didnt see anyone bashing the neo, you sound like an idiot. hopefully you misunderstood something.
