Meh .... Red MVS cabs are a dime a dozen ,Its not like they butchered something thats irreplaceable. It still looks pretty damn ugly in that cab though.

Disgraceful..you'd think people would learn not to destroy dedicated cabs after realizing how valuable games of the late 70's and early 80's have become.

That's weird, I just took a picture of another MVS-to-Die Hard coversion that I saw at a local arcade (it was much more obvious from first glance),

The most common demise of a Neo cabinet is to make it into a gun game. They have nice flat screens. That is a Ugly cabinet though... Ironically Die Hard still make $$ though.

There's an operator/vendor here in NC that buys up Neo-Geo cabs for that very purpose.
I was practically horrified when an employee of said vendor informed me of it.

And Die Hard Arcade is a lot of fun... shit, I don't understand this at all... the arcade market is all about the converts. I would rather have a nice dynamo cab then the big red beast any day, but... thats just personal preference I guess,

When it comes to operators and vendors it's all about making money. For example: Instead of getting something cool like Time Crisis 3, they might buy a few Neo-Geos and put Police Trainer in them; quick cash from a cheap conversion.
As far as Die Hard is concerned, I guess at one time I thought it was fun, but now I think it's just played out. Another glorified filler piece like Area 51 or Cruisin' USA.

I like those new candy cabs. Particularly the SNK Super Neo 29.
