I had heard about them back in the NES/SNES/Genesis days... knew a kid that had one, but never knew it branched over to Neo Geo... guess it would make sense, and be incredibly rare... still a great dev cart. Their GB/GBA system and carts are top notch. I know Bung helps people with teh romz... but, they have also helped me out tons with game programming...jefmcc:
I have a MGD2 but I don't have the Neo Geo components for it.
Yup, I was doing that right nownruva:
Follow the link back to backup and you can learn more about it there,

I couldn't fill up 288mbits with my own code.Amano Jacu:
Oh well, if it can only handle 288 megabits then it isn't even worth bothering... Just curious: how much would a set-up like that cost?
About encryptation, there are sets of decrypted roms out there, so wouldn't they work just the same?
Exactly... mine are like 32 k winkkernow:

It'd probably cost less than a new homecart.

i remember reading about such devices. they were like $900 in the mid 90s.
Thanks for the info Blastar!blastar:
mgd2 is a nice item but not usefully for development! a mgd2 romdump is different to a "regular" dump: all data is streamed & splitted into 512kb chunks, each chunk can hold (streamed) data from different sources (px,mx,cx,vx - flipped?)... so you have to convert your programm to mdg2 before you upload. i believe there are not enough informations about this format out to do this! :/
the first (public) dumps ever made are mgd2: nrx support some of them.
