Prepare to meet an onslaught of people who will no doubt be unimpressed.

On the other hand, congrats! Do you have a cab or a super gun?

Well, to be honest I am not interested in the UNI-BIOS, so I dont really care if the bios is soldered or socketed :) ....

I wanted this model because its smallest AND takes carts vertically make it very easy to house it and make it look like a console.

BTW it seems to be only board not having problems with ROTD :)

As for the supergun, a friend is making one for me :)

I'm just curious... how did you play your MVS games up until now, if you need to buy a MVS board and your supergun is not ready?

Well, I know Nostromo had a supergun and mvs carts a long time ago... because I bought my old supergun off him :)

Congrats man, hope you have fun with it. Btw, not all the 1 slots have trouble with RotD - my old MV-1 has trouble with it, but I know many other people with 1 slots who have the game running fine.

Well a while ago I had a supergun and an MVS which I sold to Kazuya there as I needed some money. I can now buy another one and do my own SG with a little bit of help ^-^

Congrats! The MV-1C is a great little one slot that'll work with all MVS games.

I just bought all the parts to make the supergun, mainly:

Scart cable (prewired)
2 male joystick ports
1 metre of 15 core wire
1 VHS case
1 AT PSU Power Cable Splitter
Jamma Connector

Cost: less than 10USD :)

Sorry, but for the around 10 euro it costs the unibios is definately worth it. In most fighting games you'll get training and vs mode, you can pause the game via the controller, you can uncensor games, etc... It's not only the cheats.

Nostromo, I'm curious about how was your first supergun, where did it come from? It's funny to think that from Malta it ended to UK... Oh well, I fact I bought my first supergun from UK.

Agreed, Unibios rocks, just being able to switch from ngh/mvs and having ALL those extra training, survival, options etc list goes on makes it so worth it.

Actually a friend of mine in Portugal made it. I bought it from him and then sold it to Kazuya in the UK :)

yep that's true, in fact I know the person that originally made it, but didn't realise that when I bought it... so it actually travelled from Portugal (I think), to Malta, and then the UK :)

Check sgrepository.com and go to the gallery of superguns... there's pics of the supergun there (under Kazuya's supergun). I now have a Silver Shadow 4 slot from thegreathopper though, hopefully I'll be able to get some pics of that posted soon.

Well, it says:

SuperGun pictured with a pair of modified Logic 3 PC control pads. Although they are not pictured, Kazuya also has a pair old style AES controllers he uses with his MVS board.
Anyway, since it uses DB-15 for the controller, it would be quite stupid form the maker not to make it compatible... Anyway if it isn't it would be pretty easy to rewire it to accept them. In fact that is what I did with my old supergun... oh_no

I don't think it is that big having the PSU inside... and the fan is cool  .

Nostromo: Yeah I'm usually still on Efnet, just search for Kazuya_UK... I'll drop by #PCE sometime when I get the chance :)

You are right, that supergun doesn't accept Neo sticks unfortunately, but maybe someday when I get the chance I might re-wire (it came with those slightly crappy PC pads that plug straight in). The old MV-1 board that I was using with it has joystick ports so I was plugging my old-style Neo sticks straight into that :) I'm not sure if I will bother doing anything with the supergun just yet though, as this came in the post from thegreathopper today :)

I think I'm still going to hang on to the supergun though as it is a pretty cool piece of kit... could maybe use this for playing Neo stuff in another room in the house anyway.
