Neo Geo Party in MD ?

Me and some freinds were thinking of having a Party at end of july/Aug. So then we were thinking why not make it a Neo Geo party. Having tournaments of neo fighting games and also some other fighting games too and a lot of partying Ect. We have a great big house in baltimore MD to have it in. Anyway if there is anyone interested in comming or any ideas let me know. As this is not for sure yet just seeing if there any interest.

There are get togethers here in MD quite frequently. One just happened last Sunday in Northern Delaware, which was awesome, and I think EvilMike is planning another in the next two weeks or so.

There are more and more members popping up in Maryland. It's pretty cool.

I'm the Delaware party holder and I'd probably make it down for another MD get together.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before, but Otakon is August 8-10th. Last year I met a real nice guy that had 2 AES systems and an MVS set up with SamSho3 I think, didn't get a chance to play it.

I'm going this year, and I think i'd be cool to see some neo fans there. Maybe we can hook one up to the projector insted of the countless number of CapVSSnk2 games where EVERYBODY uses Blanka.

And also, Gabe and Tyco from Penny-Arcade are coming. So if thats not a good enough reason to go, I don't know what is.

I would be up for a MD Neo Geo get together. Not many near where I live, unless I am missing something.

I am gonna be in the area in the begining of August 8th-10th for Otakon, like Yukmud said. So if you are gonna hold it on one if those days I will show up. Coincedently my friends and I are all going as KOF characters, except my one friend he has a thick beird so he is going as "Sailorman"

^^^ Indeed. Hey I could ask one of my friends about helping us out. I know he's going to be on the staff this year and I think my other friend is so maybe they can put in a good word for us.

Hell maybe we could even have a Neo-Geo Pannel there! My friends have ones for DDR why the hell not a pannel for Neo-Geo fans?

Maybe we should make another post just for Otakon. I know some people might be turned off by the whole thing that the people that go to those conventions are a little nutty.

But when you see the game room IS THE SIZE OF A HIGHSCHOOL GYM you'll forget all about the weirdos that go there.

Let me know what you think. I should have mentioned this a while ago so more people could get in cheeper but we will see.

Maybe next year we can get a whole huge thing for all east cost Neo-Geo owners and fans at Otakon. That'd be very slick.

Thats great! I love the idea. The first order of buisness is to designate a sutable meeting area, I don't know what the inside of the convention center looks like so perhaps you could suggest something. I also took the liberty to start an Otakon thread in Unrelated
