Not enough backgrounds in SVC?

I don't know, but 7 or so backgrounds doesn't seem like that many. I haven't played Capcom's version of this series, but in other fighting games each character had their own stage. Do you think maybe they had the rest of the stages turned off in the test versions?

No. No, who cares. BGs..as long as the ones you have are not terrible, I dont care. I like a good bg, but it doesnt matter after a while.

7, although it may not seem like much, is like the standard number in a kof these days, so its no big deal.

This...who cares>?

I guess...if there are 7 really good backgrounds. I do like a little variety though. After playing a KOF for a while, even though the stages are great they get a little stale (even 99's rain stage), I would like to fight in a different setting every now and then, even if to just break the monotony.

Keep in mind that this is my opinion while I'm sitting at my computer and not playing the game. I don't even think about backgrounds while I'm playing.

All the ones we've seen of SVC seem devoid of life...and people who have played it say there is little to no animation.

Thats cause theyre going for the more epic feel: sweeping cathdral, greco-roman ruins, tranquil forest (godly bg imho) over the crowded cityscape.

And to the main topic so far the bgs look awesome but yea I wish/hope there are some more.

I like it when every character has a bg that sort of represents what the character's all about but Im sure thats not going to happen, I dont think it can even technically happen with memory constraints.

Oh well I just hope we dont have a kof2000 style bg for all 7 stages of the 1 player mode and thats it. *sigh* whats a bg fiend to do.

I for one think a games a bit of a let down when it has so few backdrops like kof2000. after all you get bored of seeing the same ones over and over again,

One for each character is how it should be especially considering the money you fork out,

I noticed over the last few years neo geo programmers have got lazy like that and that pisses me off.

lots of time ppl say backdrops dont matter but i bet you any money if every kof fighter had the same back drops as not important not so many copies will get sold:P

Yea but 30 or so characters imagine how long that would take the artists. and its not even that Im not even sure if a neo cart could hold that much.

It is the way it should be though. :o

7 seems about right to me, sure I'd like there to be more but then that would focus to much time away from everything else.

Btw didn't CvS2 have at least what 7 or 8 bg's?
