Buy-Rite is a disreputable source and is well known for jacking-prices up the wazzu. You've been warned. There is plenty of information about their awful business rep.

Oh, there's no hard price on any AES release yet, so they're lying ahead of time.

Dunno, but, I bet that the home cart of SVC is gonna be around $500. If not, more. The Neostore wants $1800 for the MVS kit, all I gotta say is, DAMN! My car ain't even worth that much. (it is a '90 Chevy Cavalier)

The price for the kit will be $1850.00 every where not only the NeoStore.

Not counting Matrimelee every MVS kit has been over a grand at launch. Why? BECAUSE THEY ARE MEANT TO BE USED TO MAKE MONEY!!!! People need to stop acting like the launch MVS price is something crazy and unusual because it's not.

I've talked to local arcade owners, and the fact is that SNK cannot command the price of $1850 for this title. It's going into old hardware, and it's not going to look as good as the newer, higher resolution, board sets.

At $500 they could slip in as a 'cheap' new game, and probably have a shot at a neo-revival with this title. It really looks to me like the best neo fighter ever made...but the fact is that arcade owners are tired of paying top dollar for neo games, and then having people pass them by. This is not Guilty Gear 3, or Capcom vs. SNK 3, both of wich are on newer hardware.

If SNK had developed something special, or if they were selling the whole new boardset (Like the Crystal system) for that price, I wouldn't argue. But I'm afraid SNK is seriously over estimating what they can get for this title.

Anyway, that's my opinion, and the opinions of the two arcade managers I've talked to about it. At that price, it looks like no one around here is ever even going to see the title in play.

Hmm...NeoStore for $1850? Well, that's one I am going to have to wait awhile on for sure!!! Hopefully there will be an AES release, $500 for AES wouldn't be too bad...but anything over that and it's getting a little crazy...

Yeah that completely sucks for them. Putting it out at that price does make some sense, they'll sell it at that in Japan for a very short amount of time.

Then when that's done, it'll drop like a ROCK since they'll have made so many of them.

Lucky for us, as we'll probably be able to pick it up for the $300-$400 price tag in a quick time frame. Which is good as I need the game badly. :D

Fortunately, its different in asia though... We dig snk and nobody really cares about capcom fighters since xmen vs sf...

I hope the arcade I go to in Singapore will have SvC (going back this August)..

Hopefully no more of the SARS scare in Singapore (I cant imagine playing in an arcade with masks make_fac )

Yea thats way too expensive for just a game. We just have to wait it till a major price drop occures.
