Whats with all the Bans?

Well I come into the chatroom tonight and I walk into a shit storm!! I gues a whole bunch of guys got banned from the boards? Well I guess that is one way of shutting someone up who doesnt agree with you?

I guess the King has been itching to put me back on that ban list I have been on it a couple of times before for absolutly nothing other than the fact that I didnt agree with him.

I guess freedom of speech only works in certain circles around here, so watch what you say everyone you could be next!!

It's to prevent people from channels like #eminemd12 to come in and troll.

I may just go ahead and take invisble mode off for now but I get back on tonight and I see like a buttload of mass bans fired for Spamming?

It's been going on all this time and now the bans are going off? Pardon my confusion on this but after all this time, Why now?

Yeah GA, you have nothing to worry here. Those bans were for people who were just spamming the main boards. It was stupid. I have no clue why it happened, but if you saw all the spam around 5:30~6:00 you'd completely understand.

Generally yes.
There are more Eminem users that wander around the server than others. I could say a few things in reagrd to getting my jollys about banning people but I don't find any real enjoyment out of banning anyone.

Either way I removed the Invisible mode and anyone can join chat who so desires. Thanks..

If you saw the amount of spam, you'd ban those people permanantly. I know I would. I bet they were only temporarily banned though.

You were banned from the IRC server by Benjaman AND the Neo-Geo.com forums for intentionally hacking and shutting down the Neo-Geo.com chat room.

I finally noticed what was going on here and I've never seen the amount of spam in my entire life online. Also I've heard of permanent bans before but not temporary bans.

Actually Shawn,
From what I understand there was no hacking involved.

When you came into chat, You miss-typed your password ident without the '/' in front and thus posted your password for your nickname right out in the open and literally gave GA a shot at you.

Not condoning his actions but, I think I should clear up the difference between a hack and giving someone access to your room.

And what about the Chatroom now? Yeah we threw your ass out and how many people did you see last night? You can say what you want about that chat but just because your name aint on it dont make it non-"Official"

#neo-geo is the Official Neo-Geo.com chatroom and you know why? Because the people make up this scene not you!! Just because you see fit to kill something dont make it dead!!

And as far as posting on these boards I will move my chat advertisements to General Discussion so there is no complaints.

DIY - keep the michael pics. Anyone who has a problem with them just isn't desensitized enough. You should also find a picture of Mike and Elizabeth Taylor, and one of Mike and Bubbles the chimp.

That's why nobody is stupid enough to leave their doors unlocked in this day & age.

Oh and to be honest, This isn't me supporting GamersAbyss for his actions in anyway. What he did was wrong and If I was there when this happened, I would have banned him as well so don't peg me for playing favorites.

If you must know I'm wondering you posting your password out in the open was an accident or not.
