Hrmm, I support EMU's. But this stuff is disgusting. Selling ROM's for profit, not cool. I guess they could defend themselves by saying they're selling the disc because they downloaded the ROM's for someone on a slow connection. So they don't have to sit and download 650Mb of roms. BUT, that argument doesn't hold water. However, are we really going to get ebay to take down these rom auctions now that SNK is gone?

Unfortunately that auction is Ebay Italy . . . not sure where to report that bogus auction. In the U.S. it is safeharbor@ebay.com and in the UK it is ukinvestigations@ebay.com .

I do not. I do really think emus are only a way to get ol' good games for free. This whole thing sucks. Just because ppl using emus are not honest (don't take it as an offense) even more when clicking on that button saying 'you can only download this game if you own the original rom'. Good job finding the email address to report bogus auctions!! Here is a sample of my text for reporting auctions:
The following auction:
[insert the link to the auction here]
is an illegal auction of emulated games (ROMs) burned onto CDR discs. The seller has no licensing or sales rights to these games, and had nothing to do with creating them. ROMs (PC data files of original arcade or console games) are illegally dumped code from the original arcade games, and as such are not legal to sell. Since Neo Geo cartridge games typically cost $50-$300 each, if he were selling REAL Neo Geo games the cost would be more like $10,000+ for this kind of auction.
Please end this auction immediately and warn the seller about future such auctions.
