Honestly, I do not feel a single emotion. Shawn charges too much so don't buy it, right?

I have the games I want, the systems I want, I'm happy.

And if you canot afford Neo AES home items, get an MVS/supergun. Problem solved.

This whole ting was blown way to much out of proportion. Anyways, I forgot why I started coming here. Oh yeah, to have fun!

Nothing. Work was a MASSIVE headache this week. I had to work on a logo for a client. I made it in Illustrator, took it into 3DSMax gave it depth and the took it into Swift3D converted it to vector art, took THAT into Flash5 exported it as an Illustrator file.

Looks complicate but it wasn't more than an hours worth of work.

The problem is, is that image was grayscale and I needed to make it into a PMS color plate, not a black one.

So basically for the past two days I've been doing this.

*click* *read density number* *change color* *change density number to original number* *click* *click* *read density number* *change color* *change density number to original number* *click*.

That process was repeated about 100 times.

It's ridiculous that you can convert a color image into a grayscale in Illustrator yet there is no way to change a grayscale into a PMS color image without destroying the densisties on the gradients!

I need a nice long break. In fact...I'm taking lunch.

How do I feel about all this? Fairly indifferent. As I mentioned on an earlier post, I never wanted to purchase a new AES console. I am a gamer first, and a collector second. While I appreciate good games (some of which I collect), I don't try to outclass anyone on any level. I think this week went to the dogs when Shawn first put the consoles up there in the first place. Sure, it may have been beneficial (to the collectors, at least), but look at all the chaos and havoc that emerged from it. From now on, I think Shawn should sell slightly-used systems. That way, there isn't any rush (or stream of obscenities and evil intentions) to get one.
Before that, though, things were going just fine.

I saw ppl buy AES systems for $1000, and under normal circumstances I would have LMAO that some jerks are ready to pay that much for a gaming console.

But the "grand issue", together with all that ROM fk shit we had (and have) to wade through, sometimes make me wonder why I always masochistically return for more... <IMG SRC="smilies/smirk.gif" border="0">

I would've loved to own a BRAND NEW Neo, but sometimes you can't get everything you want. Even though my Neo(s) are used, I'm still happy and I can play the games I've always wanted to play. If someone is dumb enough to spend a grand on a brand new system, that's their fucking problem. Shawn is not putting a gun to anybody's head.

Recap of the last few days: a few trolls got out of hand (LWK included, as usual) and whined to high heaven about the free market. 99.99% of the forums could care less, but the whiners did go on for quite a while. <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0">

Then today my Sengoku 3 English cart arrived in the mail, and it looks beautiful and is a blast to play. Nice old school beat'em up, a nice change from the endless stream of straight fighting games. I'm very thankful that in the end of SNK's life we got this game, and an English one to boot. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

As for the new cart systems, who cares? You can't afford them new, go buy a used one. All the whining in the world won't change the way the Neo market is, and I expect it to just get worse as time goes on, not better (in terms of collectibility). I certainly would never pay $800 or $1000 for a new system, but for those who did, its no big deal. Let them have them, I'm sure they'll be well taken care of. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">
