Just out of curiosity which do you think is better? Metal Slugg SS or Neo cd? Real Bout Special SS or Neo cd? How is the Waku Waku 7 Saturn port?

SS Metal Slug is better than Neo CD because of loading time (slightly faster)

As to fighting game........nah.......get AES version.

Samurai Spirits RPG is definitely better on the NEO, much more detailed backgrounds and don't load during random battles...

Well if you some it all up how much faster the loading on the Saturn then on the Neo CD. What would you rather have a slightly better port or faster twice as fast loading times?

I definitely would get Waku Waku 7 and Metal Slug for Saturn (for price reasons) and well I already have Samurai Shodown 4 on the Aes are the Real Bouts any good? What are the differences between the Neo CD and The Saturn versions?

The real bout series on the Saturn are honestly probably the best Neo ports. And I would rather play them on the Saturn simply because the load times are horrible on the Neo CD and CDZ.

And by the way the Saturn version of Waku Waku 7 is great!! Definately pick it up. The only difference I noticed between it and the Neo version was in the backgrounds. When you back away from your opponent the game scrolls out like Sam Sho and some of the other Neo games. When this happens on the Saturn ver. the backgounds get a little pixalated. Other then that it's a great port.

An alternative point of view. A mate of mine bought WW7 for his Saturn after playing my AES version. I was interested in seeing the conversion given that Capcom's Saturn beat-em-up conversions are pretty much faultless, so I borrowed it from him.

Unfortunately I was confronted by appalling load times, blocky backgrounds and (what I *really* don't get) immense amounts of slowdown. I could get over the loading times and the backgrounds, but slowdown? It makes the game unplayable at times. I don't think it ever goes above 50% of full speed while you're fighting Fernandez/Fernandeath (who also seems to scale very oddly when he's in his normal standing pose).

The NGPC could do better than that.

Nice CD audio though.

I've got a few questions:

1) Did either of the Saturn conversions of Waku Waku 7 or Metal Slug have arranged music?

2) Do any of the Neo-Geo-to-Saturn games have the ability to switch languages?

The Neo CD ports are pretty much exact copies of the MVS games (thats why they take forever to load), except for the insane loading. Saturn version have faster loading, but much worse sound, and some frames missing.

If I remember correctly, Slug really wasnt anything different. Pretty much sounded the same. Waku7 did have arranged music, which is actually pretty nice.

My Fighters History Dynamite has a language change option, TSS doesnt, Magical Drop 3 doesnt... hmmm... I cant remember if Waku does or not.

Thanks, NeoTurfMasta. Next question:

Do any of the following games have the language switch option?:
King of Fighters 95, 96, 97
Real Bout: Fatal Fury
Real Bout Special

Also, does Waku Waku 7 require a 4-meg ram pack?

Any other opinions on Waku Waku 7 for the Sega Saturn? Maybe a nice review?
