Ok, I'm in the process of ordering Super Dodge Ball MVS from cosmico. I can't believe what they're selling it for, is this a bootleg? If it is, I hope it's not like the version on mame where you can't bypass the how to play thing, and you have to wait for it to finish before you can play. At this price though, I don't really care.

Peace

Cosmico is the land of where you are not really sure of what you get till you get it

my friend picked one of them up from cosmico. It plays perfectly fine. We assumed it was a bootleg of sorts because of the price but found nothing wrong with it.

Their all bootlegs, the only real dodgeball carts ive seen were part of the complete mvs kit, very few loose carts are not bootlegs.

Just wondering something about these boots, do they use the same PCB and just different ROM's? I mean these people just mass produce boards and then just burn roms and slap em in? Just wondering.

Used to be they'd just burn the EPROMs for whatever game they wanted, and sac another common MVS cart to make the boot (giving them real SNK pcb boards and cart shell). Not sure how this latest batch of SDB carts were made, probably same method . . .

Yea they probably take really common MVS carts like Samurai 1 or World Heroes and sac them with burned eproms, since they make a lot more selling SDB boots than they would the samurai mvs cart

In Cosmics price guide... any title with a * after it is a bootleg... just FYI. So yes, SDB, Turfmasters, etc with the * are boots...

Yes,it is a bootleg..what does that mean?
that you can play it fully, and normally on your mvs cabinet,etc..

but you CANNOT play it with a phantom convertor any kind of convertor on your home system, they won't 'understand"the bootleg cart..

and then you can't "use it"for trying to convert it as home cart too

it is just perfect for play in a cab

Do they have a site? Anyone? I'd like a link

Oh, how much would shipping for an MVS cart be to the States, and how long would it take?

And just one more note about Cosmic Co, they always identify the bootleg carts, so you know exactly what you are getting. Chimp and I have ordered from them a couple times now, I think, and always got great service.

If you want to get stuff, be sure and group an order together with some friends, because the shipping can be a bitch unless it is spread out across a decent number of carts.

Cant believe that they up front tell if something they sell is bootleg or not in a "legit" business. And everyone seems to be happy about it. One wonders, if NGF would have said their stuff was pirated up front, would you still hate them? Or is only because they lied to you? makes me wonder how people actually stand on such issues. Really, what do you people who trash on NGF stand for? I'm glad people here have said they sell bootleg shit, cause I don't wanna be ripped off by some dickhead...but apparently some people don't care as long as they know what they have, and have somebody to trash on.
