How do you tell the region?

I just started collecting MVS carts, and was wondering if there's a way to tell the region of the cart. None of mine have Japanese labels or logos.

I am also a bit worried about getting bootlegs, is there a good way to spot one without opening the cart? Most of my games have proffesial looking kits with high quality prints, have these been known to surface as bootlegs?

Generally speaking, if the cart has an english label and extras then its US version, some maybe Euro, but it would be hard to tell from the cart alone.
The kit extras make a US version different from a Euro version.
MVS cart hardware is uni, its the motherboard bios that determins the language, blood, tits etc.
