I carefully looked at the video once more and noticed that what was the groundstep system looked like a mix between the hop forward and the roll. It doesn't appear to have evasion ability, since I hadn't seen any fireballs or attacks performed while the groundstep was executed, but I think Kyo used it to chain 2 aragamis together, because I looked carefully at the powerbar, and it didn't eat one power stock like it would for KOF when you perform a cancel. So it looks like we're looking at a new system in chaining and rush down. What do you think?

well i think it looks awesome, i love the dash in cvs and of course rbff2, basically a fast offensive dash with good recovery and ability to attack out of (which is how the dash in this game seems).

i watched the video too but i think kyo is using some sort of cancel, not the dash becoz a there is no noticeable forward movement when he does it and b if they had cancelling into dash and then into special the game would be crazy combo instant death style.... which we did not see in any vids so...

there seems to be a guard cancel dash too which ryo does against ken just b4 he eats a super.

:)

Not sure of the mechanics either, but what I do know is the fights looked really fast, which to me is a good thing.

It looked to have the speed of an MvC2 but the sanity of a KoF/SF3. The dashes sure looked to make for an offensive game, which I think is always preferable to "Test of the Turtles."

It looked that way to me too, but it's a little bit difficult to tell whether it was his KOF move where he has some invincible frames for the ground uppercut, or a true guard cancel. In any case, the game is tops, I don't know how they managed to pull this one off, with smoothly animated backgrounds as well as smoothly animated characters. A lot of technical wizardry went into making this, I'm sure.

I really want to know how it works. But alas, I wont be satisfied with info on that until I actually get real playtime on it.
