Ok, Shawn has 3 MVS copies of Matrimelee left @$385. I can't afford that much, only $150. I'm a HUGE Power Instinct 3/Groove on Fight fan, so I was TOTALLY surprised & overjoyed when I 1st heard about the pending release of this game. I FULLY know what to expect outta this game. I'm already pleased w/the graphical upgrade. This is a 100% NICHE game. I know ALOT of you will bash it, but I will LOVE & CHERISH it.......IF SHAWN WILL SELL ME A MVS COPY FOR $150!!!!!!

-TM.....beggin' in STYLE!!!

I know how you feel. Color me also a fan of their stuff. Even though I probably haven't known about the series as long as you have.

I believe that a lot of people that don't speak or understand Japanese just aren't going to get how fucking incredible the music is.

The more I try to understand it, the more wierd the lyrics become.

This game is just so much more for Japanese people. I think it will do quite well...

Come on, I'm the poorest person around here and even I can afford a copy.

Save your money or wait a few months for it to drop in price, not that hard.

That has nothing to do with it. I just really can't pay $400 for 1 game. I know the MVS price will go down eventually, but I would like to keep my money funneled here into the Neo Store some. Plus, he's only got 3 copies left, dammit!!!

-TM

BTW, REV, Porwshpr is NOT a stranger. Sorry if people here in MARYLAND actually play Neo games with others besides OURSELVES!!

"I believe that a lot of people that don't speak or understand Japanese just aren't going to get how incredible the music is."

Or at least, have quite a bit a long term experience with hearing various styles of japanese musical entertainment. He really got those styles down. Even if they don't quite understand the words, the way they are sung and the attention to detail should be quite knowledgable to those who have listened to the stuff for years.

I can translate a little japanese, and I agree, even what I get is pure insanity. The funny thing when listening to the music (not paying attention to the written kanji), I kind of mistranslated Chisana Shiawase as Hisana Shiawase (kind of misheard it). Anyway, mistaking the title to mean something like "Woefull happiness".

That kind of makes a big difference. Though in a wierd way, the mistranslation would make a proper Dorama song title.

Chisana Shiawase... really, why do we need to talk about food while fighting?

Though my favorite is Subarashii Inta-netto. I mean, while fighting, some woman is talking about email and chat. Really, Studio Aqua is genius.

Hey. It's not the Email and Chat. It's the wonderful feeling you get when performing Email and Chat. Happiness is just a click away. :)

But it'll take those guys to dress it up in some full Sakura Taisen-level production number.

LOL, yeah man I know Shawn can't drop the price to $150. Still, at least this thread is bringing the game a little more attention though. Good to hear that there are SOME people here who are actually on the POSITIVE end of Matrimelee.

Especially with all teh "HARDCORE, KNOW ALL, NEO GAMERS WHO'S OWN OPINIONS ONLY COUNT" RotD bashers around here. (if you were offened by the last sentence than that means I'm talking about you)

Anyway, Shawn, GET MORE MATRIMELEE MVS CARTS in stock soon!! (at least for when the price drops)

-SG

*BTW, Pizza Hut, F that, give me a MC Ds application man. I just couldn't spend all that Pizze Hut ca$h wisely!!!*

I own Matrimelee and ROTD, you can officially call me a fanboy of both.

But seriously, if Matrimelee is received the same way as ROTD by the American arcade gaming public (and it will be) in no less than three months you will be able to pick up a kit relatively cheap.

Hey. I used to be the kind that would look down upon stuff that wasn't serious like SF/SS/KOF and the like. But I started to really open up to fighters that plain shout, "Don't take all your fighters seriously". Matrimelee seems to be the current game to carry the torch. Not only because it's new, but because the whole premise promises to be so bonkers that you just can't mistake it for serious. A fight to marry the boss? (The craziest premise since Hair loss mode in World Heroes) Kind of befitting that it belongs to the series that has the longest history of making sure we had zany "quirky comic-relief" fighting to go with our serious tactical fighters.
