pb = Puzzle Bobble spock

They still "stealthy" released PB, you know, private sales and byg timers usual bullshit.

Judging from print/paper quality of this one, they should have quitted anyway :D

I'm a little ignorant on what's going on.. did !Arcade! do a homecart release of Puzzle Bobbles???

If so, aren't they worried about Playmore, etc???

EDIT: HPMAN's reply as I was typing this message answered those questions...

Are you sure about this? That wouldn't make any sense for them to do that given the current mindset of Playmore and that their past releases were always quality work. Although, I'm not a fan of conversions.

Um, please, I don't want to kiss the ass of a bootlegger, but you do know the story about Bust A Move right? SNK made a lot of them using EPROMs from another cart that wasn't as popular. It's right in that thread in the tech forum. I don't know what I'm looking at there, but the fact that it has EPROMs says NOTHING. It would be really shitty of you to be badmouthing this guy and giving him a bad name if you're wrong. I'm not !Arcade!'s best friend, but he did give us the Phantom-1 which is not perfect but it's the best peripheral of that type ever made for the Neo.

I see he's stopped using the custom boards he used for previous conversions and has gone back to sac carts...

Bootleg or not, this seems foolish in light of Playmore's current obsession of boot bashing... I don't know what to say... Guess he feels ol' Canada is going to be his safety net... I wouldn't bank on it,

Just because there are eeproms on the board doesn't mean it's a boot. In the case of bust a move it's more than likely a factory repair. I don't believe Arcade would do a conversion with bootlegged product. If they had, I'm sure the news would have surfaced long ago.

Definitly a boot, heard this from someone else too.

And does a non-boot genuine cart with all eproms except for the one prom on the pic make any sence to you ? I think not..

Versions of pb with 2 and I believe 4 eproms are confirmed to be genuine, but at least they have more proms then the one you see on this worthless peace of garbage.

I wonder how they worked out creating the one prom though.. spock

Could it be some kind of eraseable media too ?

Anyways, shame one Arcade shame .. This is some bad stuff they are trying to sell here.

The insert does look nice though :) much better then mine.
