Do you really need the price to drop MORE before you decide to buy loco !? They're practically giving them away at that price! And it really is a good game.

The mini marquees are more like stickers than the marquees that used to come with MVS carts. Still, I'm glad that the tradition of including MM's continues...something that new releases like Sengoku 3 and Zupapa lacked!

Right, those marquees are paper, but they are real nice looking. $59 is rediculous... stupid cheap.. I can see Playmore was right when they said this was one of their biggest mistakes... they made WAY to many ROTD kits. They changed that with Matrimelee, but shit there must be like 5,000 + ROTD kits... hehe, or atleast it seems that way.

If any MVS owner doesn't have this game, you guys are really crazy... for that price it is a ton of fun!

Yeah, I'm more than tempted, I'm buying one next month. I was honestly expecting to lay down payment on a SvC cart next month, but that's when I expected it to be under $500.

I'm just wondering... With all the trouble this game is having with a lot of 1-slot boards, does Shawn offer a refund if it doesn't work in yours?

Probably not, seeing as how the incompatibility is widely known on these forums. If anyone has a question, they can do a search to learn the true facts about which boards do or don't work.

My problem here is that this bug has not been tracked to a particular model of MVS, there has been reported in example that in some MV1F it works and in some it doesn't. Basically you can't be sure about whether if it will work or not til it arrives.

Besides, I think a warning about this should be placed in the item description page. You know, you don't need to be a registerd member in this forums nor be updated about what is discussed here in order to buy anything from the neostore.

It's pretty obvious this is a fault of the cart itself, so I would consider it as a defective item if it didn't work in my board.

Just my 2 cents, I wonder what Shawn thinks about this? Has there been some complain about this?

Out of the 316 RotD MVS kits sold so far there have only been a couple isolated cases of incompatibility, and only one return. To help answer any other questions please read the <a href="http://www.neostore.com/store/policy.asp" target="_blank">store policies</a>.

Well, the fact is that I had already read the policy:

Returns fall into four main categories with special policies and procedures for each.
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I ordered the wrong product - Please e-mail sales@neo-geo.com explaining the situation and if you would like the product replaced with the proper product or a refund. You will be e-mailed back instructions for returning the product. Returns under this category will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Return freight and liability will be the responsibility of the customer.
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I ordered and received the correct product, but changed mind - If we have completed our job flawlessly on our end, but you change your mind due to customs fees, didn't like game, or any other personal reason, you will be charged a 20% restocking fee for returns under this category. Understand that we cannot be responsible for customs fees charged by foreign governments, but we always try to help our customers out by declaring low values for overseas orders. Return freight and liability will be the responsibility of the customer.
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">The product was damaged in shipping - All orders are shipped well packaged and although such an incident is extremely rare, please e-mail sales@neo-geo.com explaining the situation. Also, please retain shipping materials. We will quickly replace the damaged product and provide instructions for returning the damaged product and shipping materials.
  • <font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">The wrong Product was received - We are careful to check and recheck every shipment. If you ever receive the wrong product please e-mail sales@neo-geo.com explaining the situation and we will quickly replace the product correctly and credit back the freight cost of your original shipment.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">
In my opinion, this compatibility issue wouldn't fall in any of this categories, and in fact I think there should be one about "Defective item". However I am surprised that less than 1% of the kits sold have this problem, in the Tech Support quite some people have reported this problem and we've discussed about it a lot.

Maybe this is caused because the new kits you are selling were produced later and because of this they are less propense to this problem? Maybe it is the first produced batch the most problematic one...

The fact is that I already own a loose ROTD cart that works OK in my MVS, but according to Razoola I might have problems with it in the future (it acts weird in the CRC check of unibios 1.1), and I'm tempted by the complete kit the neostore has at such low price. But since I live in Spain, it would quite a trouble due to shipping costs to have it sent back to USA in case it doesn't work.

I wont leave you high and dry if the cart doesn't work on your motherboard.

Well yes, I saw your sale in the selling forum, and I was quite interested, but since the $ is so fucking low I thought the neostore deal would be better... But I just realised that 45£ = 74.26$ , that would more or less be the same than the 59$ the neostore has it for, plus shipping to Europe. I see that I would have to pay 5£ more to have it shipped to Spain, but as of now I'm Newcastle UK, so I could have it shipped here and then take it with me to Spain (I wouldn't be able to try it til then). I'll just decide what I do... I'll contact you if interested.

Well, the Neo Store quotes $35 international shipping for one home cart (I'm assuming an MVS kit is a similar amount) giving a total of $94 - £57 at todays rate. Roughly $20 more expensive than my kits, you know it makes sense wink

Oh well, the shipping options for just this kit are:

USPS Global Express Guaranteed Non-Document Service $78.00
USPS Global Express Mail (EMS) $25.95
USPS Airmail Parcel Post $22.75

So yes, even having it shipped from UK to Spain yours is still cheaper...
As I said I'll contact you if I am finally interested.

None of the RotD MVS kits have been defective and even the one return was found to be fully functional. In the EER instance that a new cartridge is found to be defective, a full refund or exchange would be in order. In fact, this instance is so rare that I can't recall ever coming across a defective new MVS or home cartridge.

I just placed my order;

While I'm not sure if the price will drop any further, at this price you'd have to be an uber weiner to even worry about it.

If you've been wanting a brand new neo game for cheap, this is it (I can't remember the last time I saw new fighter kits this cheap... Oh yeah AoF3).
