Almost $1900 for the MVS. I know its gonna come down, but I'm still hoping for a NGH cart release at the more reasonable $350 level. I might just have to spring for a Phantom-1 frown

SNK is in business to make paper and I'm sure every wholesaler/retailer will want to stock a few pieces of this title.
What it will most likely come down to is will there be enough produced for NGH format
There are just soo many AES machines(MVS and NGH) in circulation, that will cause newcomers to pick it up.
What Playmore needs to do is continue producing that Hybrid MVS version so that the game WILL NOT be pirated forcing those AESHOLES to go purchase AES whether it be MVS or NGH.

I hope the demand will neccesitate a larger than usual production run, which should, in theory, reduce the overall cost per unit.

That would be a blessing.

Well, the price is usually written in stone once established for a certain length of time so it will never decrease and I really can't see the price increasing as $325 is damn near a maxxed out price for home use and the key is to move large quantities of the cart before they start competing with inflation and the USED market..YES,some people will resell this title :) .The MVS Hybrid cost is understandable because vendors stand to make their money back and then some so they will eventually end up getting the game for free..now if some Aeshole wants to run out and purchase the Hybrid MVS version for home use upon release, more power to them but it would be sorta foolish imo if they don't have some cab to stick it in available to the public and at least recoup some of their monies..

350
i d hate for it to be that much.
for some reason these productions are getting more and more.
i m almost wondering if its really worth it for
that much.
thats approaching 400 dollars.
and i wouldnt care one way or the other for a
super rare game. but a game in larger production new?
come on.

SF3 is where to be. Thing is, I kinda prefer Giant attack and New Generation to Fight for the future. All anyone wants to play is TS in vs though. I like to alternate. Lots to love in all versions.

Yeah, this release is going to see a huge run (relatively), I mean, Im going to buy it new, so for the sake of doing a good deed to the fans, lower the price a bit...if you can.

I guess it all depends on the run. Playmore! I know I am not Japanese man, but listen to me and make it cheaper. Im not asking for a 150 dollar game. BUt how does 250 sound>

I think if this hybrid board is true, it would be a smart idea at first... then release the MVS cart later on... like a month or two down the line. This gives Playmore the important revenue up front, and the rest is sweetness. It will still get dumped, the people will dump the hybrid... but, you will know if it is real if it pops up on ebay as cart only for a while wink which keeps scammers at bay. I predict this one will be bootleged ALOT though,

kernow:
play your $10 sf3 on dreamcast.
Kernow, you've become a pretty big SFIII fan lately, no?

Anyways, I know SNK/Playmore is in it to make the dollar bills and w/ a home cart release they do worry they will not recoup their development, advertising, and manufacturing costs. How many NGH carts have to sell for them to make profit?
