Hopefully I will be rewarding myself for a job well done on the LSAT within the next 12 days.

I decided that a new AES game is in order if I did well. I have narrowed it down to the following:

- Waku Waku 7

- Matrimelee

- Metal Slug 3 ( I have all the other Slugs already)

- Last Blade

- Real Bout

- Real Bout Special

- Real Bout 2

- Sengoku 3

- Or a SuperNova

Any other title I should consider?

Get Mark of the Wolves - probably the best fighter in terms of graphics on the Neo -

All the characters have high frames of animation, High detailed backgrounds, fantastic introduction, fab music (Kevin Rian's stage) and the Gameplay is great fun.

It will set you back around $375, but its worth it!

I'd say Slug 3. I'm sure you already have plenty of fighters for your system wink

Or else RBS/RB2 if you don't want yet another Slug (Slug 3 is best of the series IMO)

Mike has MOTW already.

I strongly suggest to get Real Bout Special.
Do not bother RB2.

Fantastic choice but like Liquid said, I've already got it.

I like fighting games, but I just like to have fun with them. I don't have the time nor desire to really get "good" at them but I love to put in a round or two every now and then.

Slug 3 is a kick ass game. I already have 1 and X though. I know that I'll get it eventually but I'd like to add some more diversity to my collection.

I am really leaning toward Waku Waku 7.

I hear that it's fantastic.

Waku Waku 7 is a fun fighter - not too hard, and has easy to learn moves.

The storyline is different from other fighters - 7 people posessing waku waku balls fight each other to get a wish granted.

I have the Saturn port :D but I'm sure the Neo version has better animation.

There's a copy on ebay for $350 - a good price.

i'd choose Last Blade.

i have both LB and Waku on mvs and LB just floors me everytime. there's more "collectible" value to the Waku AES, but LB has better "play" value.

LB2 is much better than LB, IMO
I don't really like Waku that much.

Mike, have you thought about Breakers? wink
That's much much better choice :D

I agree wholeheartedly, with the guy who said LB is the best.

The original Last Blade is my most favorite fighting game of all time.

It has everything a fighter is supposed to have, except is done at a degree of polish unseen in any other fighting game (my opinion, who else!), so go Last Blade, or be a doush bag and buy another Metal Slug.

i of course would say rb2... i think that 2 player it doesnt get any better. great combos, characters and super tight gameplay.

wakuwaku 7 is good but can get boring quickly considering there are only a handful of characters and no real combos...

Real Bout Special is the best fighter out of all you listed, just my opinion of course.

I would have to go Last Blade as well. For one that appreciates what the Neo has to offer, I think Last Blade represents a convergence of just about everything that makes both the Neo and Fighting games in general great.

Beautiful backgrounds, stunning animation, lightening fast game play and interesting characters to the last.

Quite possibly my favorite fighter on the Neo.

Wonderful.

Don't believe the hype, the original Last Blade, not sequel, is the masterpiece.

Last Blade 2 is good, but it plays more like a compliment rather than a sequel.

Besides the stories and individual BG's are better in LB1 vs LB2.

I'd say LB or RBS, but if I had to choose I would definitely go with RBS. Waku gets boring fast for me, it's more like a comic book type fighter than a technical fighter.

Go with Last Blade if you like samurai, period pieces. This game oozes atmosphere! Fantastic game.

Go with Waku 7 if you're looking for something wacky and not very serious. It's a fun game, it's just that it's more like the National Lampoon's Neo game -- but if that's what you're looking for, then you'll love it.

Go with RBS/RB2 (they're both great) if you're looking for a more traditional fighter. These games have fantastic speed and large hit combos. A great cast of characters, and some impressive artwork. If you don't get these now, definitely get them sometime down the road.

Get a supernova with a MVS board with unibios, then sell all your AES carts and get the MVS versions instead. And you'll have spare money even after buying ALL the carts in your wanted list (Matrimelee is the only one that RIGHT NOW is more expensive in MVS than AES).

Wow, that is a good list of games... hard to pick one. I would go with RBS or Last Blade myself... those are both incredible games. Of course they are both $30 on MVS... maybe you should get the super gun and then get them all wink
