Its just amazing to me how much trouble people have had w/ buy-rite....the difference between their in-store dealings and online dealings is completly amazing. Everytime I've been in the store, I've been treated w/ nothing but respect and have always gotten a great price in store.
Maybe they just like me? Anyway I wish you other guys could get the same treatment from them as I do. Too bad they are too far gone to win any respect.

Yeah I've been hearing all around different forums (DDR Freak, etc.) that Buyrite is the WORST place to buy game stuff online. I've dealt with them 3 times and shipping has been fast (because I live all the way in Alaska). Anyways, I've dealt with their customer service and the response took a lot of time, and the message would be like: yes this metal slug for the playstation is like the arcade one. bye. Their shipping was ok for me, but customer service like shiet.

Now, I could be wrong in my opinion here, but when the BBB gets 2 or 3 complaints in 36 months, you chalk it up to 'shit happens.'
When the BBB gets 235 complaints, I think that will usually get their attention. wink
I'm sure a number of people have had good deals with them, both via internet and at their store. But just because 80%-90% of their deals are ok doesn't mean that they can get away with screwing the other 10%-20%. oh_no
Obviously the above statement could apply at least one other current/former member of this forum. wink

Thank god the BBB has gone after them. EVERYBODY I know of on the internet, be it DDRFreak, Neo-Geo, IGN, PlanetGamecube, have all had bad times with these people.
I got what I thaught was a real Konami made Guitar for the game GuitarFreaks, then I get it, and it's OPEN, USED and within 3 months broke on me.
And if you ever try to send anything back to them, you can't because they never list there adress to return anything.
I hope they get shut down, they don't deserve to stay in business the way they operate.

I ordered metal slug for saturn and paid instantly, it took them 2 weeks to process the order, and its still hasnt shipped yet.

Both dealings I've had with Buy-Rite have been quick and painless. I guess I was one of the lucky ones...
I've heard too many negative things about this company to deal with them again, however. Really sad because they sometimes have some good/rare things in stock.

They have more than bad service. Their sight has HORRIBLE descriptions of games. They were selling a Demo disc for X-box and they made it sound like there were 9 full games on the one disc all for low price of 7 bucks....aha aha aha

I was able to snag a memory card from them pretty painlessly, but their service is pretty lousy. I got the feeling they thought that they were doing me a favor by actually checking to see if they had the game I asked for. Anyway, don't believe anything on the website - hardly any of that neo stuff is actually in their posession. I'm not brave enough at this point in my life to do business with those people over the mail either.
