Why no SLUG 3 review?

I'm thinking about picking this up but I'm concerned about the late sound effect issue. I heard that only the pirated version had this problem but is it in both the original US and import versions as well?

I've been playing the MVS version forever but I wouldn't mind practice mode and a revamped soundtrack.

i have the imported DC version (an actual legal copy, from the nice folks at NCSX) and yes, the sound is kinda off with the voices and shit- it's actually worse with the AST.
when you play with the original sdtk. it's not bad- at least to me, i never played the neo-version!!! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
