Games before system???

I been interested getting a Neo Geo AES system, but whenever I find them they are more then what I can really afford because of the bidding. You guys think I should just go ahead and get maybe like KOF2000 or something like that before buying my system sometime in the near future. I'm ok with just having the cartridge first because I have enough systems at home to keep me busy for a while.

The way I look at it is this:

When a new system arrives the first thing the stores get is the games.

What I would suggest is that you should get games ONLY if they are really good deals. If the KOF game you wanted is regular price now, you might find a good deal before you actually get your AES system.

On the flip side, I bought my AES and 4 games at the same time, from 3 different places. I got the AES first, but didn't get the games for a few more days. Talk about hell on earth...

Well, David, I'd say get the games before you get the system. That way, when you're finally able to get an AES system at a good price, you can have a good stack of games to go along with it.

I've not got an AES machine yet (living in the uk and all that) plus I want a cheap boxed one, heh no chance.

Get the games now as atleast then you will have to get the system when you can afford it as you know the games are there waiting for it
