OK, fine. I'll ask. What's the best MVS/AES convertor? Is it this Phantom thing I keep hearing about? How much is it, and where can I get one?

The only other thing that I've seen besides the Phantom-1 is garage made shit. The Phantom works great and has stereo output. Just don't use in old systems with loose slots...

I`ve got one, and I think it works great! Especially for people that don`t have room for a cab., and are too lazy to build a super gun!(like Me!!)

Well be warned, the Phantom 1 may be the best MVS to home cart adapter, but it is very finicky about what cart systems it works with. My old U.S. home cart system, s/n 13208, did not work at all with the adapter when I got it. !Arcade! replaced the slots on my cart system and then it worked. The adapter worked almost perfectly on my JPN system s/n 132xxx with no modifications.

The other problem with the MVS adapter is that MVS carts fit VERY tightly on it, they are quite hard to get off and on. This ends up being a real hassle and degrades the value of the adapter in my opinion.

Best of all is to get a cheap MVS cabinet, these days with many arcades closing, you can find them cheap. I got a very nice 2-slot dedicated SNK cabinet from an auction, only $425. MUCH better way to go . . . and having a cabinet is a blast!!

I thought the Phantom one was tight as well. And it is if you stick the carts straight in and out. But if you wiggle the Phantom-1 up and down it comes and goes on easy. although it took a trip to Canada for me to see for myself
