I read the review of this game and it seems pretty interesting to me. It may have a few problems but they don't bother me too much. I don't have an MVS so I would have to get it on home cartridge format. I think NGF has one for sale at $449. Before I would get it, (in the not so near future) I was wondering if it was worth it. Did anyone buy this title and if so could you give me some personal information (your experience that is) about it. ;)

When it was on pre-order from Arcade (I was VERY keen on getting it), it was $399 (with no manual).

No, it's not really a 'good game' - its:

"Outstandingly Average"

Get a KOF game instead!

Common people - !Arcade! doesn't have it for sale right now (or anymore). I was wondering if the game was any good. It sounds like something I would like but I just want some more information about it. What do you think of it? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Heh, the !Arcade! version went for $400 new and they only did one run of the title.

Good luck finding one now.

I traded the game away last year (I don't like conversions) and it's a pretty mediocre game.

I liked the graphics, but the controls were aweful.

Thanks for your input. By the way, is Magical Drop 3 better?

Ummmm... they are completely different games.

Apples to oranges here.

It's okay. The graphics are decent and I like the comical halloween thing going on, nice big bosses. But for the most part it's very repetative with little reason to beat the next level other than seeing the next boss.

If it weren't for the nifty graphics and cool thing I probably would have unloaded it a while ago...I've almost traded it a couple times.

I wouldn't say it's worth $500. $200 at the absolute most.

My first experience with this game was my encounter with it in an arcade in Kyoto station. Being a real fanatic for non-fighter Neo-Geo games, I really wanted to like NitD, but realistically, I can only honestly recommend you pick it up as a "cheap" MVS cart. Gameplay wise, it certainly isn't worth shelling out the big bucks for a converted cartridge. It plays like an unconventional bubble bobble action/platformer, and doesn't really get anything right, in the big picture sense.

Actually Zupapa is a very similar game and fixes a lot of the gripes with NitD, I would search that one out as it is a whole lot more enjoyable. I did like NitD, but I got it on MVS for a fraction of what it looks like it will cost you on home cart. It is good, but with Zupapa being very similar, and better, I would just get Zupapa instead.

I think it's great, i usually don't like games like that. But i liked nightmare, cool music and good graphics and pretty deep gameplay for the genre.

I wouldn't buy it for 400$ thought.

i thought nitd was awesome.

not worth $400, but what is?

i thought the gameplay was just as good as any other static screen platformer kill the enemy thigies type games.

the graphics were just cool, not bad, very original.

i like it. :D

I do, I have both, have played both many times and Zupapa is a better variant of the same game. You can jump down, there are better power ups, the 2P doesn't slow to a crawl and the music is a lot better. OK, I know that there is an amazing cutesy element of Zupapa that may not be good for everyone, but I like it and I think it is deffinetly the better of the two.
