I know the game came out, I'm just not sure if this game was ever officially released by SNK? or was it simply an underground title by private developers?

Ive always thought it wasn't from SNK,and was some sort of home made thing. There is no Neo Geo logo intro to the game, and the characters and music come straight from Gururin.

From what I have seen the game sucks serious ass. I have heard that it is 11 megs. That is pretty bad. I saw it on ebay in AES and MVS format. The guy selling it said he had authorization from SNK and had documentation to prove it so who knows. If I was SNK, I wouldn't want my name on it. <img src="graemlins/loco.gif" border="0" alt="[Loco]" />

It is a homebrew that poped up a few years ago on ebay (and sold for tons of money). Vektorlogiks got a ton of them in, they were modified Puzzle D Pon carts, and shared the same music. The game plays ok, but it is unfinished, and basicly you can't get passed level 7 (there are not enough crystals to complete the board). It is for the collector only, and even that is a stretch, as for $200 it is still a crappy, unofficial, homebrew hacked game that is not even finished.
