Dance Dance Revolution arcade vs. King Of Fighters arcade

I, personally, think that DDR beats KOF in every imaginable way, and I'm not just saying that to piss off the KOF fanboys. Most of the game sites I visit, their top arcade message boards and most visited pages consist of KOF 2001, 98, etc. DDR's nowhere to be found.
Of course I could be comparing apples to oranges here, one's a great fighting game, another's a great dance game. of course, apples and oranges are both fruit. *Puts on flame resistant suit*

Seriously, I see DDR being played and I just don't 'get it' it makes no sense to me what the draw of that game is.

You could say the same about a lot of Neo stuff though...

Here's how I see things:

KOF is an exercise for the mind and wrists.
DDR is an exercise for the mind and body (but more for the legs; it would be more for the body if it were called "Break Dance Dance Revolution".
Zephryn is a below-average newbie that needs to think out his comparisons better before making an introduction post.
And finally, both KOF and DDR have been on the PSX at one point or another (and eventually, both will find their way to the PS2).

Some of you guys are sure hot tempered, or just eager to make fun of anyone who tries out an original topic suggesting that not everyone thinks KOF is the best arcade game. Which it isn't, mind you. it's great, but DDR's the best. Period.

Sorry I don't have much to add to the DDR debate since I don't really care for the game that much, but I'm interested in anyone that's spent time in Japan .

And don't take too much offense to what the other guys said. That's normal here. They're just giving you a bit of a hard time, nothing to worry about.

Hey, no problem. If you or anyone here does get the opprotunity to play DDR, go for it, I don't know anyone who's played it and can't help but enjoy it. Spread the joy. And I should try and convince the local arcades into purchasing KOFs.
