MVS, leave it on, or turn it off?

So, what's best for my MVS? Is it better to turn it on and off when I want to play it, or should I leave it on 24 hours a day (with the demo sound off of course).

I've heard it's bad for monitors to be turned on and off a lot. But I would also imagine that it's bad for them to be on all the time. So what'll give me the most lifetime?
