Well, I begged my Dad for him to move one of the old 4-Slot MVS machines from the shop to my room. Why? Because i love the gameplay! So those of you out there, both mvs and aes owners, when you see the expensive and somewhat rare neo games, do you buy them for the sheer gameplay or for collecting, and then store them for value? I got a bunch of in crap shape MVS carts, but i dont care cause i just love busting some ass in Slug and Top Players Golf. oh_no

I love collecting them. There's nothing more satisfying than looking at the spines of my Japanese AES cart collection, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling of some sort...

Ditto for my NGCD, Megadrive, SFC, Xbox and Dvd collections....

Unfortunately, I do not own any Neo Geo systems, so I get my SNK gaming fix on common systems such as the PlayStation. I love playing SNK games, always have, and probably always will, but still, attempting to start a collection of Neo Geo cartridges is not something I can afford. But anyway, I love playing SNK games, and would really like to see KOF 2000-2002 for PS2 come stateside!

I bought my AES to play games. Little did I know that AES and games did not go hand in hand. I got myself back on track and bought an MVS. It rocks, I approve.

I'm mostly a collector/die hard gamer. I collect stuff to play when I feel the need to, and when that need arises I go nuts for about several weeks or several months... then I put the stuff away until that mood strikes again. Thus I'm a die-hard gamer in search and play-it-later more so than a games-are-my-GOD kind of gamer. Like I have an XBOX, but I rarely play it... mostly I have the NEO NGH and Mega Drive hooked up, along with my Supernova and PC-Engine Duo, but alas they sit there for months at times, unless my day sucked then it's time to kill people in Shock Troopers or Metal Slug!... or Gunstar Heroes or Contra Hardcorps!

I started out with the Neo Home cart system with a few older titles, then traded it all in for the Neo-Geo Cd when it was released, purely for playing world heroes perfect/metal slug/fatl fury 3/turfmasters etc. Forgot about it all for about 3 years.....then stumbled upon a shop one day selling it all for a kings ransom so I got back into the Neo....decided to try to purchase all the cd releases (out of curiosity)to see what I'd missed over the years, only to realise that I now had a "Collection". After that I bought a six slot MVS cab...purely to see what the "other" (non-cd) titles were like!! Now I have more than 40 MVS carts, all Neo cd's, all the pocket games (apart from reversi UK)...so I am obliged to call it a "Collection". To me, they are still just "my neo games"!! And I love to play 'em!!! I have no desire to own every piece of SNK history.....where do you stop? As much as I love my Neo stuff, it's still just "my games" which stay in the background of my busy and hectic "life" loco !

I'm not really into collecting games mainly because i can't afford it. If i buy a game then i am damn sure going to play it.

I'm a collector...But I play every MVS cart I have..I love the Gameplay..

I play the Neo Geo at least once a day.
It's 1:30am and I just shut off the Cab..I was playing Breakers and MOTW..
I'm just nuts about the Neo Geo games..

I'm kind of a packrat, I tend to keep everything I buy. wink So I still have my Vic-20 and carts/tapes around.

I tend to just buy what I can get (if the price is right). Unfortunatly, it also means that I've got a backlog of games to play.

I buy games to play them, most of the time. I can't afford buying an expensive game and hope it'll become more expensive later.
