I don't know how common these carts are, but it looks like he has sold 3 other Metal Slug Bare carts for less that his current auction. Look at the link below.

Ummmm yeah, I don't think that will get any bids.
Click the link - 12 bids, current price $187+, ends in 11 minutes.

I rounded up to $200.

It is getting harder to get official Metal Slug carts, but MDGameSales has them in stock for $70 right now... still on the high side, but better than this. MS2 is easy to find around $40... ah well,

The last Cosmicco price list had it at $30 I think.
Original cart.
Maybe worth the extra freight cost.

Well, yeah, but Cosmico is atleast $20 in shipping which puts it at $50... before Western Union charges or postage of a money order to get it there. YES, IT IS STILL CHEAPER... but Cosmico always leaves me feeling burned, since I normally double the price of my order in shipping and "hidden" charges, ala paying them!

I agree Nick. I feel the same way about it.
If cosmicco took paypal or direct card payment and shipped by EMS they would get more sales.
I dont believe the "hidden costs" are an intentional rip off, its a cultural thing in some countries.

Oh I agree, they are a standup company, and great to deal with... it is just for me, I see this great price for some games. I pick them out, and tell them what I want. Then get this enormous bill back from them due to shipping (usually $40-50) Then, thinking about the $20 Western Union charge kills me... $60-70 in shipping and payment! Even if I just send a money order (and wait the two weeks it takes to get to them and then get my games) it is still expensive.

But, I know it is not intentional... and I know they are not trying to rip you off... Hell, if I was in Hong Kong, and didn't have SARS, I would be there just about every day buying stuff! hehe...

As for the above auction... WHAT NO SNIPERS?

Well, did nobody notice that the high bidder is located in Spain? So shipping "from Korea" can be the same as "shipping from US". I don't like it when everybody assumes everybody lives in US, and the rest is "overseas". The internet is supposed to break distance barriers, not to create new.

And about Cosmicco, I use to order from them because, again, EMS (yes, they always shipped by EMS to me) from HK, that arrives in a week with tracking number, is about the same as ordering from US. And the ridicously cheap prices make it really worth it. OK, they don't take credit cards, but anyway I'm almost the only one in Spain that has a Paypal account and uses it, and also pay directly with my credit card in on-line. Most people in Spain prefers to do a money order instead, so again it would be the same buying from Korea than from USA.

Last but not least, I do agree this guy overpaid a lot in this auction. Maybe I'll contact him with some advice.

Hi~

I agree that the price was too high.
I proposed to him $150 with EMS Shipping(to SPAIN).

Nick, thats why the best way to order from Cosmicco is to get together a good sized group order. Have people pool their orders into one, then the wire fee gets spread out between all buyers, and the shipping fee isn't quite as bad either (and gets split up too). I've done several orders that way and they worked out great. :)

Yup, really nice indded, although it somehow distorts the use of ebay... But congrats, most people wouldn't do that. The most I saw in this cases was offering free shipping.

Yeah, but that's a whole different conversation in and of itself.
