Lol, everyone who I asked if they heard about the Neo Geo they would say 'Yeah I have teh rhomz' wink
Although, strangely enough the number of arcade cabs with Neo Geo games inside them is like HUGE. Every damn bar, pub, restaurant, billiards hall has loads of them, games like blazing star, pulstar, shock troopers, etc are much a common.... Unfortunately they are now being replaced by those touchscreen games...
As for the AES, I know of a shop which used to sell it when I was like 16. Obviously while I dribbled all over it when I saw it for the first time in what I think was 1991, I nearly died when I heard the price and so I forgot completely about it....
When the first emulator(*) came out for the Neo Geo I remembered about this console and went back to that shop and bought a brand new one for some stupid price (60USD), not verifying the price of the games wink ... I went on to buy a Japanese Last Blade on the day of its release, Neo Turf Masters (USA) for like 200USD from Chris Mullins and an Aero Fighters 3 from Shinicirou (was that his name?) for like USD100 (from Japan)...
After a while I was getting worried that this hobby was getting too expensive and sold everything at some ridiclous price

- Then a guy on irc (he was called Afrokhan) told me about the MVS, and the rest is history
(*) Who says emulators are useless
