How do you tell if an MVS cart is a bootleg (besides the milky white "SNKg" carts)? I thought I should bring this up because i'm sure there are others out there like me that are just as unsure. Is there a certain cartridge color scheme to go by? Can you tell from the labels? Are ther bootlegs out there that have SNK printed on chips or boards? Thanks

ResOGlas besides the milky white "SNKg" carts
'SNKg' carts are legit.

you can tell by having a closer look at :

- the pcbs
- the shell (not the color, but the quality matters)
- the chips

btw ...

your 1st question :
how to open a home cart?
your 2nd question :
where can i get replacement inserts?
your 3rd question :
anyone willing to sell some home cart cases?
your 4th question :
can anyone tell me about bootlegs?

noticed a pattern?
man... i didn't know, i'm that paranoid ... :(

btw : your sig would be the next hint ...

That's a really cool site. Thanks for posting it, it answered alot of my questions. Now i suppose it's my turn to answer yours.

your 1st question :
how to open a home cart?
>>>I own a zupapa and i wanted to see if it had shabby soldering
your 2nd question :
where can i get replacement inserts?
>>>I own a euro double dragon loose aes cart
your 3rd question :
anyone willing to sell some home cart cases?
>>>Same as question #2
your 4th question :
can anyone tell me about bootlegs?
>>>I don't find anything wrong in not wanting to purchase a bootleg cart...
btw : your sig would be the next hint ... [/QB][/QUOTE]
>>>The next hint towards what? That I enjoy rare carts as much as the rest? If you check my profile, you will notice i am new to this list. I didn't join this forum to be a lacky, I am not going to censor my questions because i am worried about other peoples opinions.

It's all cool. Last thing this forum would need is another darn cheat.
Another mvs bootleg question: What is with the lawsuit against Arcade-Infinity? I have been gone to them multiple times over the past 2 years asking about mvs carts and they usually only have less than ten to offer (usually old beat up titles like fatal fury and baseball starts). What title are they accused of bootlegging? Did they ever actually sell them or were they taken away from them before they could market? I've always known arcade infinity to be one of the best arcades in California and as a gamer I would find it a shame if they got shut down. However, I guess if they really are bootlegging carts, they deserve to be shut down. with so few developers still supporting the neo bootlegging can directly affect if the neo will live on or not.
