If you are planning a purchase get MS3, it’s longer, cheaper and as funny as MSX.

wink took me a while to realise what was going on then ??? yeah ive just ordered metal slug x on mvs but already own metal slug 3 on home cart gonna be hard to top that one cause that games fucking wicked

Tragically, as much as I like MS3, I feel that Slug X is the better game. The alien shit gets on my nerves after awhile, and sometimes I just feel like killing soldiers. I need a copy of a Jap Slug X for the love of god.

Metal Slug X... although I like the MS series so they are all as much fun to me .......YES...even MS4.

I always thought that thought MS3 was peoples favorite. Please explain why some of you like MSx better.

I love MSX better than MS3 since I can't stand
the zombies and the crabs and all the animals...

I prefer soldiers and some 'aliens' instead.
MSX is my love right now.

Are the weapons better in X than 3? Or do they have the same in both. I heard 3 has a lot of slugs. Does X have many different slus as well?
I take it X has an alien type theme to it. What is the storyline in both games?

well i own ms3 and there are quite a few weapons like flame thrower,rocket launcher,shotgun,lasergun,machinegun,super grenade,theres a couple more but i cant quite remember there names at the mo oh yeah and you get whoah BIG which is funny.as far as the story it looks to me that the aliens have kid napped the saddam lookalike (dont know his name)and nearer the end you team up with the soliders to get back your original character (he/she also gets kid napped) and there leader and thats about it really.
someone might be able to fill the names in for me

All the weapons in 3 are in X with the exception of Thunder Cloud and Satellite.
There are loads of Slug vechiles in MS3, and all the Slugs that appear in X are featured :)

X is far better.

3 have the best graphics (well not backgrounds)

X is more fun. That's because in 3 EVERYTHING is so damned RESISTANT. You need a hell of shots to destroy something. And you encounter a lot of icemen with LOTS of life when you try to destroy a Wall of ice cubes with LOTS of life and a fridge on the top with LOTS of life. So you spend all the time shooting as an idiot at walls, doors, and stupidly resistant enemies.

In the other hand the enemies in X are far more "realistic" as they die sooner. So if you die in X is because you have played bad, not because you are OVERWHLEMED by hordes of almost invincible enemies.

Shooting the same enemy for 10 seconds to destroy it is boring. Shooting lots of enemies is fun.
