Anyplace to play the Neo in los angeles

hi all, my friend and i are off to los angeles this week, and since we live in Neo Hell (translated, florida), we haven't seen any of the newer games or will be able to see any of the newer neo geo games unless you can help us out. anyone know of anyplace that has KOF 2001, metal slug 4, even rage of the dragons? just looking for a place to play against my friend that is neo-friendly. any suggestions that sell neo-stuff would kick ass too.

There are a few places. The College Arcade across from the LA City College on Vermont Street is a little shady -but usually has new games. I guarentee you'll find KOF 2k1 at the Little Tokyo arcade in downtown. Its located off Alameda and (I think) 3rd. The Game Dude store has a pretty well stocked MVS in their lobby.

My friend told me about an arcade he goes to that has a lot of Japanese-esque games that never really got popular here in the states.
When I heard that, Neo-Geo popped into my mind, for better or for worse.

If I can get some more info I'll try to help you out.

PS to Bobak: So...what happened to that LA Neo-Geo gathering?

The Darned thing will happen once I finish 200 other things, but it will happen. In fact, we have a E3 related gathering scheduled for this Friday -and you don't even have to have a E3 ticket to join since we're meeting outside of the ruckus.
