Dion Dakis - The God of Neo Geo Freaks

Dion Dakis, the self proclaimed pseudo god of the Neo Geo Freaks. The only thing he really is - is a con artist pure and simple. Let's take a trip down memory lane. Remember when he sold King of Fighters 2000 English version. He bought the copies up and produced his own inserts and instruction manuals for the game and kept the originals for himself. Thus ruining the value of the game. Big question - does it really matter? Do you buy the game for the game or for the art? If he has enough money to buy all the carts why can't he put his logo all over it? SNK did not say that he could put his own inserts and manuals on it thus people were angered. Some people buy Neo and paint them different colors without SNK's permission - who is to say that Dion Dakis can't do this as well. Does painting the carts ruin their value? Oh course! But that is your game and you can do whatever you want to it. Those were Dion's games, thus he can do whatever he wants with them. He wanted to put his own labels on it to show his superiority over everyone. To show that you are buying his games and that even though he plastered his logos on them, you would still buy them. He could have just sold them the way he got them but didn't because he believes he is the Neo Geo god and wants you to believe that as well. However, passing off a bootleg as the original is illegal. If you bought a ball signed by Babe Ruth and learned that it wasn't the real deal you would go into riggers. It is sad that the one guy who is rich enough to buy thousands of Neo Geo games would use his wealth to destroy the sancitiy of the games. Why counldn't he fight to actually bring these games out and not just sell bootlegs for more than they are worth? The answer - He is an evil man who only wishes to fill his pocket books with gold at your expense and doesn't really care about you or the Neo Geo at all. You are the means to an end to him - that is all. In the real world there are good people who actually care and there are bad people who pretend to care but really have their own agenda. He is a master showman, a propagantist, he is slick and smooth as a night crawler on a humid summer night. In conclusion - the road to Hell is paved with gold. Beware...

I happen to think besides the premise of greed , that Dion and Chris Ray wanted to reduce the amount of original non-raped non-freaked SNK material out there .

I can imagine that every item in Dions collection is not "" Corrected "" or stamped , fucked over , like the possible hundreds of carts that he defiled in the name of himself .

But all his and Chris Rays hard work has earned them nothing but disrespect .

And I have pride in saying I have nothing but disrespect of a greedy , selfish , self centered , concetid , self proclaimed " Neo Geo efficianado "

He calls himself a collector when a TRUE collector would not defile games in the fashion that he has . He will always be hated for as long as he lives .

I think everybody if very familiar with ngf and its practices.
This is an old issue with US kof 2000,
he is a nobody in the Neo community,
we should move on,
and stop bringing his name up for no apparent reason. we're giving him too much attention, hopefully he will disappear in to obscurity ,

Hold on a second there. I am not Dion Dakis. I am just a dude who wishes that Dion would kick the bucket and his heirs would sell off the Neo Geo games to us at a much lower price than what he is charging. I bet he took all those King of Fighters 2000 inserts and plastered them all over his bathroom wall. He will probably burry the Neo Geo games with him in a giant pyramid with a statue of himself in the front. Just having some fun bumping a classic post of mine. I knew better then, I think, about NGF. I think that I was fooled by certain people but I know better now. It seems now (more than ever) that no good can come from NGF. I am glad that I don't bother with them anymore. The best thing I ever did was to stop dealing with them. I got as far as I could trying to get the protos but I was fooled by what I thought was a good cause. I won't be so stupid again. Shawn is better than Dion by a long shot - that is fact but I don't think that I have to tell any of you that.

To add to this some more, I thought that Dion liked me but he never really did. I wanted a friend so badly I continued to deal with him because he would talk to me. Spending thousands of dollars just to get to talk to someone over the phone. That is really bad. The money would have been better spent on phone sex if you ask me. I knew that I couldn't trust him because he always left stuff out of our deals but like a fool I kept coming back because he told me that I was so close to the prototypes. I thought that becoming a Big Tymer would get me the prototypes but that didn't work. Now I look at what I did and I see that it was pointless and all my pro-NGF posts were stupid and I was stupid to believe in such a cause. Shawn never let me down in a deal so he is the better man. I don't have to worry about not getting my stuff from Shawn. I sent Shawn a list of all my deals with Dion but I am going to keep that list to myself. It is best that way because I don't want any further trouble from NGF. I will just move on to people who do what they say and notr just talkers who live to use people. That's all for now.
