Well.....its taken about 6 weeks, but since snapping up a bare Neo AES console dead cheap on Ebay (Not knowing that it would work mind), then later adding a PSU (Megadrive), RGB Cable and Joystick, which equated to a total of around £100.00, I finally had everything I needed to get up and running, including a brand new copy of Metal Slug 3.
And.......Im in heaven once more. I used to own a Neo back in the days of Art of Fighting and World Heros, but as a poor student, it had to go to pay a PC I had on HP, due the the comapny I worked for going bankrupt. Despite a tear in my eye, I swore then, that one day I would have one of those Uber Black Boxes sat next to my TV. Which has now finally come true.

Some things have changed somewhat havnt they, over the last 7 years. The games are now like 5 times bigger, the Snap Lock Cases are Massive, Chunky but look a Dreamer. However what dosnt change, is the simplistic 100% Pure Gameplay experience I remember. Can those 16Bit Days, of Neos, SNES & MD's Ever Be Replaced, by this cosmetic world of Hi Res 3D???
Well, alls I know is this, Welcome back NEO, youve really been missed.

Right sorry to bore you all completly stupid, but these moments should be shared. Now back to MS3, What A GAME!

Congrats man. I got my Neo for the first time my birthday morning this year in September. I also got a near mint atari jaguar thrown in. Isn't it a wonderful feeling? Just saying "I have a Neo Geo" to myself makes me smile.

Welcome to the site as well bro.

Brooklynskin, shake my hand man, damned right its a unreal feeling. After 10 years of gaming, people still go like "WOW" when you tell them. It always has been the king of consoles, and in my books always will.

The Atari Jag, is kewl piece of gaming history, shame Atari went into liquadtion so early after the Atari STE, and Falcon. Although it was the latter that really killed them off wasnt it. To much development costs, and not enough interest. It was your Good Ole PCs that were going mainstream after the Amiga/ST.

Anyway, Im Waffling again!!!! Must be this ahem Euphoria.... <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">, thanks for the thoughts!

I'm happy for you, Euphoria. There's no greater feeling than playing a rare game (Metal Slug 3) on an even rarer console. So, now that you've felt the joy of owning your own Neo-Geo AES system (again), here's the inevitable question: what game will you get next?
