What would you do if this happened to you?

...you just bought a few expensive home carts from a reputable source and when you got them they were in the condition they were described except they smelled like smoke?

What makes things worse is that the carts that were adjacent to them now smell like smoke too. I went ahead and quarantined the bad carts to stop the disease from spreading. <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Do you think its fair to ask the seller for a refund in exchange for the goods?

Do they have a STRONG smoke smell?

You could try and kill the oder with lysol, but yea id be pretty pissed, smokers shouldnt own games.

I am a reformed smoker myself, and let me tell you, I never realised that non-smokers can smell the smoke on things that have been around a heavy smoker!
If the carts are in good condition, and you are happy with them, apart from the smell, then carefully wipe the plastic surfaces off with a lightly damp cloth. then, leave them in an airy place and the smell will die off!
If you use a piece of white tissue, you will be able to guage how badly contaminated they are, by how brown the tissue becomes. If its really bad, you may want to talk to the seller, as a thick coating of tar and nicotene is not very desirable! If its fairly minor, you may want to keep them, and the smell should wear off soon.

BTW. If the seller is a heavy smoker, chances are he dosent even realise! So it might be prudent to tread gently, as even if you return the carts, he may not be able smell the problem! (One of the pleasent side effects of smoking!)

I didnt laugh about the "fags" until blaine said something, and he's right, it still sounds funny, but all the intelligent people know what you meant. cant believe a cart would smell like smoke though...must be one heavy smoker id say...but then again maybe neo carts attract odors more than other carts, lol. Boy, other than drift king once again shoving his foot in his mouth this is the most easy goingtopic ive read tonight since the whole 6 page and going post about the encryption on kof2k being broken...but umm...well, i hould quit reading now before something pisses me off again right? im going to bed, ill be back to see if that topic hits 10 pages by tomorrow night.
