How is KOF99 on PSX?

Ok, I finished my SuperGun but there are times when I'm going to bring in my PS2 to play at TOGL (a gaming group that meets on fridays). I'd like to have some other games to play on it besides GGX, so I'm thinking about getting KOF99 on PS1. It's only $10 so I figure the game is worth its salt.
Does anyone here have the game or know if it's bad or not.

I only bought it because it was $10. Its not too bad of a port. Of course there are missing frames and loadtimes, but not to bad for the price. It has a art gallery and voice demos, which are really worth the $10 IMO.

you can get it for $10 from any babbages or EB. I got it, but you know I was looking at the case whne I bought it, and it shows Vanessa and Seth, so I was thinking, oh cool, additional strikers! But it's not the case. This game plays just likethe japanese KoF 99. However, that's not a bad thing. Load times are bearable. And it's $10 bucks. The cost of a hamburger, fries and a chocolate milkshake. Not bad, eh.

Ironically, I got King of Fighters 1999: Dream Match for the Dreamcast for only $10 used. It was in excellent condition when I got it (looked like the previous owner didn't play it much; probably wasn't a big KOF fan).

Sorry. Just thought I'd had my two cents as to what game I got for $10.

If all you had was a PlayStation, then yeah, KoF '99 would definitely be worth it. There are worse games you could get marooned on a desert island with.

If you have a PS2, a better competitive game would be CVS2, or even Guilty Gear X.

If you wanted a good port of '99, you should try the DC version.
