My Neo Geo is coming in the mail soon, and I tell ya, I'm excited. I've heard of the phantom-1 converter, and I also heard that it allows you to play MVS cartriges on an AES system (which I am getting). If this is true, then what games are better suited for MVS? I read in a review on this site that games such as Neo Turf Masters should be bought in MVS format because the AES price is just so damn expensive. If I am making any sense here then help me out, please...

P.S. Is getting the Last Blade 2: Final Edition for the DC a better purchase choice than getting the AES or MVS?
Thanks Again

I like the new one with Mick Foley personaly, although you can't help but like a show with someone who has a British accent.

Damn, I am showing my age. I figured he meant Spiny Norman, the giant hedgehog of Monty Python's Flying Circus fame. Probably his namesake.

that is great news but i reccomend also getting your neo modded so you can acces the debug menu and be able to get unlimited credits and blood uncensored etc if you did not get the jap plus you can get better picture thru the s-video camared to composite and i think an arcade converter is cool but beware i have heard that the arcade converter will not play boot mvs carts so just to let you know.

I was thinking of the goblin star player who was killed by the crowd during a pitch invasion in the blood bowl league a friend of mine used to run when were about 14, but then thats was Spikey Norman...

My name is from Monty Python. I was just making conversation with Robot Wars thingy. Thanks for the advice on the MVS my Neo is Japanese and yeah I have heard of some the problems with the converter. That's why I wanted to know which ones would work best (if at all). Basically if I can get games like Neo Turf Masters and Baseball Stars 2 for cheap then why should I bother buying AES versions of them?

That's a healthy attitude. If you do a search, many ppl will say having a nice case with beautiful artwork and manual justifies the high cost of homecarts.

If the art on the case was done by Ralph Steadman then I'd consider it more. Then people would think I'd have an even stranger taste in games. Wakka Wakka!
