Why are there so many AES systems on ebay?

Has anyone noticed this? I remember when I first came in April and decided to search for some stuff on ebay, and there were only a couple. Now I see about 20 a day. Is there any particular reason? Because I'm thinking about getting an AES until I can find a cab for a good price.

we now have 3 hardwares on the market:

XBOX - PS2 & Gamecube

all this 3 systems have specific and fine games. if you want to play it all - you need a lot of cash.

peoples think with SNK death, the NEO era is over - and they right. playmore is not SNK.

of course, there's a resistance. but high prices for new releases - the choice is easy. don't need to be strong in maths: with $300 you can buy one of those new system and a couple of good games.

I've already noticed a price decrease for some rare carts like MOTW and others. IMO that will continue.

I'll never sold. I'll keep all. and do the same. to have a neo, is to have a piece of a dream, of a golden age who gaves us wonderfull games.

Coz' there are people that see a Neo Geo as $$$$$$profit$$$$$$$$$, others that does not ever felt the true spirit, others that need cash, other that are retired for collecting/playing, other that want to switch AES to MVS. Owning a AES was a dream I had ever since saw on in store for like 699 bucks when I was 7 yrs old. I'm keeping mine. I might switch to MVS in a few years when I get my own place. But I'm still keeping my AES.

Sorry but this means i can complete my collection if some other people are selling up cheap

If you sat somebody in a room with a Gamecube/Neo/PS2 + X-box even if they thought the Neo was the best they wouldn't choose it they would probably pick a PS2

Kids nowadays are in competition with their mates and parents are finding it hard for their child to keep up with the joneses

My little cousins thought my Cab and neo was amazing but he got a PS2 for his Christmas and i told him i could get him a cart machine and he wasn't interested

One thing i dont understand the Dreamcast was and is a better machine than the PS2, so why did Seg'a beauty die and early death <img src="graemlins/crying.gif" border="0" alt="[Crying]" />

Sorry buddy - i must disagree - techinically the PS2 is possibly better but for Ratio of good games on a system the Dreamcast wins hands down

I maybe could name around 10 great games on the PS but i could easily name around 30-40 great games on the Dreamcast

I'm not bashing the PS but the truth is i had WAY more fun playing my Dreamcast and now i don't own any Sony machines but 3 of Sega's

That was a good few years ago - the name SEGA just doesn't have a big enough appeal for todays console buyer imo. I'm not saying this is how I feel, I just think it's how the majority feel.

Agreed to a certain extent when it comes to buying a console

but ask anybody here about a game with the name SEGA with respect to games - you will get the same answer

They rock - i have Super Monkey Ball + Soccer Slam for my GC and i will buy beach spikers.

Alot of the guys love Virtua Fighter 4, sega may no longer make consoles but any game with a Sega brand on it is worth a look IMO

Now they have teamed up with Namco + Nintendo in the involvement of the TRI-WARE arcade system, so they and there quality will be here for a long time to come

A matrix style 3 on 3 football game.

The game is great and its like watching a cartoon, even Scotland has a character in it called 'Angus'

The only reason I have a DC is because of MotW and KoF Evolution. And I'm going to get Last Blade 2 and KoF Dream Match '99 soon. So I can only find 4 games I even want to touch on the DC. For anything else there is my PS2 and GBA. The only SEGA games I have liked SINCE the Genesis are NFL 2K2 and NBA 2K2. Anything else made by SEGA could kiss my ass. So, basically I wouldn't have a DC if not for the cheap Neo Geo ports <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

So your opinion of Resident Evil: CV, Shenmue, Soul Caliber, Virtua Tennis, Crazy taxi, and all of Capcom's ports are that they reek? I understand that not all were made by Sega, simply that they were either only available in, came out first for or were simply better ports for the DC.

You are an idiot. First of all, the neo ports on dc are not that great. And second how can you reject virtual-on, cosmic smash, all the capcom games, marvel vs. capcom, ET-FUCKING-CETERA. Moron.

I think the real reason is because many Japanese sellers (Solvarou, tken, jackeccs, yamatoku etc) flood the market with neo systems.

Not all people really like Neo, they bought it from eBay just want to prove the hype, decided not to keep it, and auction the system back at eBay.

This makes there is always many systems on auction at eBay, and drop the price.

I hope they start to bring the more rarer carts from Japanese market soon, makes the prices go down (and I can get Slug 1 for $600 )
