Do you think it is too late to get into AES collecting?

Let me start off by saying that I am a gamer and not a collector. I still wis for my games to be in good condition, just don't need them in mint. So here is my question, do you think it is too late to get into AES gaming? Considering the proces for some of these games, is it worth it. Or do you feel I should just stick to MVS playing, or have both just to cover all grounds?

Since you are a gamer (like me, thank goodness... can't stand people who collect games) it's a really tough choice. If you stick to the MVS, you get cheaper prices, which equals more games. On the other hand, getting the home system carts usually means you have limited continues while playing games, and hightens the overall enjoyment of the game (as well as extending the game's replayability). I am leaning toward expanding my Neo Geo collection (which only contains Super Dodgeball MVS--- "collection" pic coming soon!) via the MVS for sake of saving money, and putting that money towards other systems/games. Still, close call.

When I say the MVS will be cheaper... I make the assumption you have access to an arcade machine already. If you don't... I'd say go for the Home Cart.

THanks for the input ForeverSublime! I already have an SNK NEO Candy 29" cabinet with a 1-slot in it and 18MVS carts. I am just wondering if I should also get an AES Cart system also.

Even I've stayed in Neo world since 1991, I still don't have a big collection.

I know some of the carts (like Metal Slug, KE, Ultimate 11, etc...) are very expensive. I just tell myself that I'm not lucky enough to get them when they first came out.

Well...that's life.
No money, no talk.
