first off, I've gotta say that I really love this game! this has gotta to be one of the best beat'em ups ever made... The combo system makes this very different than your average final fight clone. Instead of just pummeling your way through the stages, you actually enjoy each enemy encounter trying to rack up the highest combo count. ( my highest so far is 40 hits)
even inanimate objects can be used to add to the hit count, it really is alot of fun.
also, this game looks and sounds great: nice character design, smooth animation (not MOTW smooth, but still really good tho') plus nice music too

One neat thing is noticed is the sound effect used when your character automatically dashes off the screen at the end of a level segment: its almost identical to the sound effect used for the same thing in the game Eight Man...intentional or not, to me it seems kinda cool & self-referential. (i'm a fan of that game too)
I really appreciate SNK releasing this game, who would have thought a game like this would be released in 2001?
