Hi. Ok, what's the best arcade joystick for fighting games in your opinion? (As far as feel, movement, etc) I'm looking for one that has a medium/soft feel as far as movement is concerned. I would also like to be able to feel diagonal corners(for back/forward jumps) But not be noisy. I've been looking at maybe Happ Ultimate or Competition joysticks. Any help is apreciated.

The ones I know are the Massystems joystick and the Capcom v. SNK joystick. Here's the link for the massystems stick www.massystems.com.

Why the bump? You didn't decide to get a mass stick! Too expensive?

I own a Super Neo 29" cabinet so I don't actually need an entire unit, I just wanted to get some joysticks for my cabinet. The ones I have right now(I don't know what model they are)have a smooth feel to them, but are bad at diagonal movements.(I.E. when I try to do back/forward jumps, the characters will often jump straight up instead.) There are these one joysticks at my local arcade that are perfect for my playing style. (medium/soft, quiet, and you can actually feel corners for diagonal moves so I can hit a diagonal corner dead on everytime.)

Check the link in my sig, that has a pic of the joysticks I built. I used Happ Ultimate Joysticks and Ultimate pushbuttons. I'm very happy with the results.

Peace

They DON'T JUST sell entire units--look around their website and you will see a link where they sell custom made joysticks for the home systems. Granted they are expensive--i.e. over $90

I just picked up a joystick from MAS Systems. I love it. You can specify the color of the buttons they use, as well as the level of resistance in the joystick and buttons. I got what they call the "ultimate" joystick and buttons, which is the stiffest, and closest to true arcade feel IMHO. The first pic is to give you an idea of the proportions. Compare it to the Neo console behind it as a reference. This bad boy is BIG.

I think I understand what you're asking for now. You just want replacement parts for your current joystick/buttons? The MAS Systems joystick uses Happ Ultimate cherry switches, which are pretty stiff. The movement is smooth though, and hitting diagonals has been no problem for me in SS1 and SS2. It just oozes quality. So I'd recommend Happ parts to replace your current setup.
