I was cruising the selling forum, and noticed the Metal Slug 1 topic (who wouldn't notice it?). It was mentioned that one of the posters already has a copy of this game, yet he was trying to get another.
General question to all of the hardcore collectors out there who own multiple copies of games: if you already have a copy of a rare game, why are you making it that much more difficult (and expensive) for the rest of us to find one? Isn't one enough? There are enough copies of MS1 sitting in plastic bags behind glass already; taking another one off the market for your collection deprives others of the opportunity to own and play the game. You're also indirectly contributing to conversions, since people are more likely to convert a game that's tough to find as a genuine home cart.
I just don't understand why people would hoarde games. There's no practical reason to own more than one copy.
