Weird SS2 thing?

When I was playing SS2 today a weird thing happened. I set the game to the beginner difficulty (I suck, I know this) and changed the language to japanese. I then decided I would rather play the game in english. I went back into the options mode and changed the language to english. I started the game and chose Haohmaru as my character. The game played in english but it had red blood and fatalities. Weird, huh?

My setup consists of an un-modified english Neo Geo and an old style joystick. The game was the japanese version of SS2, Samurai Spirits. If this is old news I apoligize for bringing up old crap. Has this happened to anyone else?

People found out about that a while ago. It also works on the Neo Geo CD version.

That is the blood code cheat! And it is about as old as the game itself. I had used that trick back in 1994 when I first got the game.

Heh, I discovered that trick the first day I got the game back in '95. Certainly made it a lot more fun!
