Hi peeps. Im a bit new to this stuff, but Ive noticed lots of people bitchin about NGF tags on the carts and whatever. Whats this whole thing about? If so many people hate the idea, why do NGF continue to do it?

I also hear, that it reduces the value of the cart according to some claims, is this true?
Isnt there anyway of removing these, or are they like "welded" to the plastic so tightly that removing them would seriously damage or at best mark the case?

Stickers on a cart/case is rarely a problem. Usually Goo Gone will take care of that.

Stickers on a MANUAL or other pieces of paper is a problem as it will not come off without destroying the paper.

There is a massive saga about why people dislike NGF's business practices...there are many many things other than this.

You're right... but it's something intolerable anyway (even more considering carts' prices).

It's not the fact that it's got a sticker on it, it's the fact behind why it's there. They give this "GLORIFIED" warrenty on the cart, but if you open it up to check and see if it's really a bootleg (because you really can't trust them to know if you are getting authentic mechandise) you break the seal and void your warrenty. But if you find it to be a bootleg, NOW since you broke the seal to find out, you no longer have a warrenty and they will say that YOU put the boot leg chips inside and you are doing a "swap-out" of the real boards. So in essence they "cover" their own crooked bussiness practices with the seal. That's the real issue, not the sticker.....

Here is an idea...

Set up a camcorder, and take a NGF cart that you suspect is a bootleg, and TAPE yourself with the unopened NGF cart, removing the tape, and opening it up to show that it's bootleg.

You have undisputed proof that you didn't swap them out, and you have caught them in the act.

Just a thought.
